Oh yes… Joan Baez from even before all that…didn’t play her so much in the store but loved her…actually, I sat next to her for hours during a college sit-in…she had come to lend support, and ended up playing guitar and humming, sitting on the floor with us….you never saw such amazing hair, or teeth…she glowed.

Never really enjoyed female vocalists, unless they had unique voices. I liked Nico Cale and Cranberries era Dolores O’Riordan..Oddly enough, though, I liked Dory Previn but it was probably her lyrical content that I was listening to.

Weird, Bev…. I can see my animal but not your Schlitz ad.

In fact for yours I don’t even see a symbol.

The “icon” or whatever that says “pics” on mine might mean it’s from a site that cuts off hot-linking to save themselves bandwidth.

    That happens.

Why did she give Hendrix a mohawk???I can’t imagine him like that.

As for your question…no, none of these are my clients…

but the camel, pony and rooster are ALL poodles.Or so they SAY.

I do some fancy poodles in my shop, but I seldom do species camouflage..I prefer to leave animalslooking like their true selves…. even if their true selves happen to be quite pink and glittery,

    Oooh…. Mohawk dogs?

Waaaay back in the day when putting strange colors in the hair became hip….and it was NOT in the 90’s, you purple-haired young’uns, it was in the mid 1970’s….

(That’s right, your parents might have done it.)

English rockers did it…. notably Todd Rundgren…. but the dye was very hard to find in the US.

People here used things like food coloring or Jello.

I knew a very young, long-haired couple, who started ordering better colors from England.

They both bleached long streaks on either side of their heads, and about once a month, they would re-dye one side a light red and the other green.

At the same time they would dye the ears of their blonde afghan hound to match.

Bev - I know the dog doesn’t look very roostery, but I took it for one of these guys, and I think Stel saw it that way too:

I was wondering whether the poodle’s ears are red because they’re supposed to substitute for its lack of a proper wattle.

Your hippie couple reminded me of a couple I knew in the early 70’s. She always dressed in royal purple and he always wore black and orange. So, I guess they were always coordinated, too. Just stick with one or two colors…can’t go wrong.

I know it’s cold and rainy (at my end anyhow)… but…. I just got back, and the street is deserted!Last comment was from Beviek, answering me hours ago..

Ok, I don’t have cable… is there something really good that I don’t know about on TV?Or is somebody having a party … that…. I…um… wasn’t sniffle invited to?

It’s cosy up in my loft…. but before I settle in…I’m gonna walk down to the Tiki and see who’s there…check on the night shift for the Monkey….and sit by the fire.

    Anybody?

    Bev ….

I wondered about that yellow stuff too…The groomer(?) /designer(?) apparently thought the poodle was too long to be all rooster, so ended the brown body color and stuck on some black rooster-tail feathers halfway down the dog’s back.

The back end of the poodle is apparently not part of the rooster… so … what to do with it becomes the question.

At first, I too thought the answer chosen was “a plate of fried eggs” … which is weird enough…

but magnifying it greatly, I see that it’s …um… well…a round white thing (plate?) with two…. well….I think it’s two baby chicks.

I’ll crop and post it so you can see it up close…Is papa rooster carrying the babies on his back?

Were they eggs he hatched? Are the yellow pom poms supposed to be more chicks?

If the designer of this poodle cut happens to see this, pleaseCome on over to Ballard Street and stop by the Tiki any time, and tell us….What were you thinking?I mean that in the nicest possible way.
