It could work. Maybe dinner at 7 pm and bowling at 8:30 pm? I am guessing that would be from 11 am on for him. I think that most bowling places are open late anyway on Fridays and Saturdays.

And maybe Quill could go bowling at that time in Australia. There are some bowling alleys that open at 10 am, so that would be perfect. Would not be fair if he could not play along.

Let me see if I understand this………. Luann, Rosa and Gunther would be at one alley bowling, while Quill would be all by himself at another alley bowling with his laptop??? Gee, that must be alot of fun for Quill.

I just cannot picture any sort of sparks flying between Lu and Gunth. No way, no how. They have more of a brother/sister relationship.

Donny is an old-timer from Comics.com.(He will remember the ClydeFrog pondscum skirmishes, before that character got expunged.) I agree that perhaps Donny is confusing this site with his now deleted contributionsHis manifestos are breathtaking. I just wonder if anyone reads them.But if this site had word count, he might well be ahead of all, even at this early stage.

They’re still brother/sister type things. (Except for the experimental kiss.) And even that wasn’t a ‘romantic’ type kiss.

I do not understand why so many people are Luther shippers. Have any of you ride off into the sunset with every single nice guy you ever had a crush on? They used to like each other that way, now they don’t. People are fickle.

Gunther may marry Rosa, Luann, or a former supermodel who bakes a great cake.

Luann might end up marrying her computer.

We just don’t know.

Presumably, this idea is to be put off till Quill comes to visit. Visit with lots of lurve. A double date with a computer screen defies common sense. If Luann’s too silly to realize it, Rosa will notice, at least. Hell, Gunther might notice.

My thoughts today…

1. Gunth is smart but socially immature. At least Quill can hold his own in the company of ladies.

2. For the date they could play Trivial Persuit or some such game while skypeing.

3. I find the banter here with all y’all quite funny and not as evil as the last site with a couple of old nasty posters.

Luann’s expression of chagrin in panel 3 would be a reasonable end-point for this arc. And just in time, because that 3+1 bowling-across-the-oceans stunt would be very awkward at best and could turn disastrous….

Australia where Quill lives is 19 hours ahead of where Luann lives , so Quills time is 5 hours behind Luann’s time but the next day. 8:00 P.M. Luann is 3:00 P.M. Quill but the next day. Sydney NSW, Australia is 19 hours ahead of Los Angeles, CA, USA. Everyone got that?

Funny but 60 years ago we had 5 bowling alleys in town (48,000 pop) but now have but one and that is closed on Mondays and opens at noon weekdays till 11 and Fridays/Saturdays till 2 A.M. 40 years ago the Nightmare Alleys was open 24/7 with live music Wed thru Saturday 9 till 1 and was filled with dancing crazies that would bowl and dance to the sounds of the beat. Saturday afternoon Pros would bowl for big money on TV weekly with a big following. Guy who ran the place died and family couldn’t handle business. It now houses a Family Dollar and warehouse. There were 48 lanes and a lounge that seated 250. Hell, the bar was 50 feet long with 6 bartenders. Times change!

About four miles from here, there is a bowling alley that stays open 24/7/365 (or 366 on a leap year) and at times turns out the main lights, kicks on the black lights, and they have glow – in – the – dark bowling. If you use the house balls, they glow in the dark. Honestly, truly.^^Yup, the Bowl-a-Rama here has what they call “Midnight Bowling” too

It is the quality of the comment, not the quantity that counts.

I don’t see anything at all happening between Gunther and Luann. I think many of the posters identify with ‘awkward Gunther’ and vicariously through him they want to beat out the jock, i.e Quill. However, Quill doesn’t display typical jock tendencies and he actually seems to make Luann happy. Is Gunther nice, yes, but this shouldn’t be the only criteria for getting the girl (the girl should also desire his favours).

Wait till her parents get Luann’s text bill! Unless they set it up to allow for overseas calls and texts, I believe that it’ll be one whopper of a bill!

Luann’s last line (“I keep forgetting”) says it all. The world revolves around her.

Donny: Luther is a relationship name given to Luann and Gunther, made by combining the first 2 of Lu’s and the last 4 of Gunther. And though I’m more for Quill and Luann, that relationship name sounds a heck of a lot better than Quiann or Luill.

I had a 150 av, but, my highest games were in the 270-280 area (Of course, that was 5 pin <<Canadian only game, similar to "duck pins) the ball is about 1/3 the size of a ten pin ball and has no holes
