Phoebe and Her Unicorn by Dana Simpson for November 08, 2012

Transcript:
Phoebe: Oh, dad, this is nothing, so could you sign it and not bother to read it? Dad: Your teacher says you tried to trade horse mucus for fruit snacks. Phoebe: UNICORN BOOGERS. And I really thought Dakota'd go for it.
In Cross Time Cafe by Whitepony, there was a comic where guest character Kathy the Hyena got unicorm boogers on her fingers and later said they tasted like Gummi Bears
I didn’t know Marigold could catch a cold. I thought unicorns would be magically immune. It could be they get a magic virus. There is no telling what effect it would have on mundane persons. Maybe she’s got an allergy or inhaled something irritating. Equines usually don’t produce boogers or mucus much otherwise. Are there unicorn Vets?
Horse snot is a sign of affection. They have an itch behind ears and under jaw line. So they rub their head on the backbone of their best horse friend.
. If a horse likes a human they’ll start butting gently with the forehead. If you stand firm you won’t get knocked over, but you will get a backful of snot, a good back rub, and a grinning horse.
At least she tried it on some one who knew what Marigold was and understood how special she was and could have maybe fallen for it. But I think Dakota is still upset over her birthday party. Also love the RPG quality of Dad’s shirt.

The horse mucus would probably be more nutritious and better for her.

I’d hate to see what she tried to trade for her brownie!
*(I wanna play a game where Phoebe’s Dad is GMing!)

And Dakota DIDN’T go for it? I would have thought she’d love the idea. After all, you are what you eat.

I absolutely adore Phoebe’s innocent, puppy-dog look!

Dakota would know. She has seen Marigold without the Shield Of Boringness but boogers are boogers no matter what animal they came from.
