Man: Hear me, dean, for my time grows short... Man: Yes, I sold "star wars" to Disney, but it's up to you--the next generation of film makers--to see that the saga is continued properly!! Dean: So I can go back and make Han Solo shoot Greedo first? Man: Omigosh, will you guys please let that go already? Get over it!

If Han didn’t shoot first, it must have been the shooter on the grassy knoll.

It’s George Lucas’ own fault. Three generations grew up loving the Star Wars universe he had created. Going back and sanitizing the film to make it nicer was the equivalent of having Mark Twain come back and rewriting Tom Sawyer to make him less of a brat. You can’t tamper with something people adore without expecting a backlash unless you’re an oblivous idiot.

Dukedog: And then crossed a railroad yard in sight of an FBI agent on the Triple Underpass, and railroad police in the yard, while carrying a rifle. No wonder they had to invent conspiracy theories to explain it. That doesn’t exclude more than one attempt planned, I predicted as much the Monday before when a bunch of adult Boy Scout leaders where cheering chilihead Wick Fowler’s attack on Kennedy. I just thought all that security would have prevented any success.

Not while the original is still in living memory, George. Sorry.

“Since Greedo had the drop on Han, he had his blaster out first, Shooting him from under the table is well justified. Lucas should have left it alone. Why is it so hard to understand? Was it because Greedo was an alien and throw people off on the obviousness of the situation?’
-Very likely.

The blaster was almost for show; he did it with the force.

And found nothing, because there was never anything there to find. Dozens if not hundreds of scientific studies and analyses of films and photos have been conducted over the last 49 years and they all point to one inescapable conclusion: The fatal shot came from high and behind, most likely the 6th floor of the Texas School Book Depository. A shot from anywhere else would have killed Jackie as well as JFK; a shot from the front would have blown out the back of JFK’s head, not the front of it. Exit wounds are always larger than entry wounds. Sorry, tinfoil hat brigade, there’s no conspiracy here; move along.
