Transcript:
Phoebe: Marigold? Can you run faster than a car? Marigold: How fast a car? Phoebe: I 'unno, just a car. Marigold: A car that is FASTER THAN A UNICORN Phoebe: Sure. Marigold: Nuh UH. Marigold: I can also outrun myself!
To unicorns everything is relative. Just assume the thing you want to run faster than is relatively stationary, then go stand next to it and run just a little.
The laws of physics limits the top speed of an equine type quadraped to about 45 mph. Marigold’s legs are a bit longer relative to her body, so she could probably run a bit faster with a longer stride length than any horse. Breathing is timed to the stride. If they stride too quickly they can no longer breath. Increasing stride length is than the only way to increase speed. To run faster than a car Marigold would have to run with an enormous bounding stride well beyond the ability of any horse.

I’d like to see if Marigold can outrun Emmett Brown’s DeLorean car which can go as far as 88 mph

outrunning yourself is easy outrunning your max speed is the true challenge.

She has a magic afterburner under her tail that propels her with a rainbow.

Yes, but can you skydive faster than a car?

Hey, all Marigold has to do is travel at the speed of light, which is always roughly 186,000 miles-per-second faster than anything.

Some times I think Marigold just makes junk up.
