Shannon’s “million of this/that” sounds like something Garfield would ask for. (Is that what Jon in today’s strip telling Odie?)

I never knew she could be so considerate….^^As I keep saying, she needs a steady home life, and going by what she just said about Toni not having to shop for a year, tells me that Toni is already the UNofficial guardian of this lonely little girl…. ps Cudos for Brad in getting her to open up to him a bit

Technically, if her brother vanishes, and Brad feels like it, he can press ‘child abandonment’ charges on the aforementioned brother. If he’s smart, he could even do it anonymously.

There are times when Mr. Evans’s portrayal of people is less than realistic. This is not one of those times. That last panel is too perfect. :)

For @Mikeyj – it is possible Brad would get clipped for what I said in my comments yesterday, but the reality is that I ACTUALLY SAW THIS DONE IN A MALL LAST YEAR! The guy was hopping up and down, and singing carols as he went, so no one bothered him! Kid screamed bloody murder, too! Wanted to shake the mans’ hand, but too many people around. Have a GREAT one!

Something else just occurred to me:I wonder if Toni’s reluctant to accept the proposals because, at this point, she doesn’t know if her taking care of Shannon will be permanent or not. At this point, her brother is Shannon’s legal guardian. If that changes, Brad needs to understand that the ‘dad test’ actually involves Shannon, because marrying Toni is effective equivalent to a single mom, even if it is through adoption (more or less)

Alternatively, she’s reluctant to get married because adoption agencies want to see two married parents before they give them permission to adopt, and when she walks down the aisle to Brad, her brother can then foist Shannon off on her permanently, pointing out ’she’s got nowhere else to go, but foster care…’

@Mikeyj,“What kid doesn’t? It sure keeps A&W going!”.In my day, there were real Rootbeer stands on the streets whih only sold rootbeer- think it was glass for a nickel and mug for a dime or so. I loved it back then (but in those days I’d drink around 5-6 Pepsi’s a day and 1 or 2 dogs at the hangout across from school. Some people get angry with me for saying it, but I loved the 50’s (simpler times and much easier for kids, especially).

Step by step, Brad and Toni have been getting ready for the big commitment and their life ahead. In today’s strip you can feel them going deeper. In the final panel, Toni looks like a mom. Brad is somewhat more reluctant in the role of dad, a nice reversal for the insecure guy who was so eager to get the ring on Toni’s finger. Love to watch these two grow. I’m cheering for them. Thanks, Greg!

Astronomers say that on 12-21-12, or tomorrow, whichever comes first, the solar system crosses the galactic equator. This event occurs every 30,000 years or so. The earth’s magnetic poles flip about every 30,000 years. Oddly enough, the last switch was about 30,000 years ago. If the poles trade polarity, the south pole becoming the north pole magnetically and versa visa, for a time the magnetic field that protects us from solar radiation will be down. We could end up with very severe tans...wrong.you’re lucky mojito isnt here.

(TJ & AE) “Marriage based on each party wanting to harm the other.” Like they say, “S & M is never having to say you’re sorry.” Kinda like “Blondie” meets “Spy vs Spy.” Really – a marriage with TJ & AE would fuel endless subplots for “Luann.” Also don’t forget – when Toni/Shannon/Bwad become a family, TJ will need a new place to live. I’ll bet AE’s place is icily immaculate. TJ cooks elaborate dinners and AE dumps hers into the garbage. At night, AE is in bed with her laptop and TJ is sleeping on the floor…

Let him raise his little brat.^^Her Father doesn’t WANT her, why do you think the poor kid is so screwed up to begin with? She needs a stable loving family, and it’s pretty much a given that Evans is heading in that direction
