The “sugar high” has been discredited in recent years. One of the reasons the notion got started was that kids often ate sugary treats at parties and on holidays, which made them hyper for other reasons. Sugar has hactually been proved to have a calming effect on very young children (something that feeds a sugar addiction, though, which is very real).
Try working at an after-school daycare when the teachers waited until the last hour to let the kids have holiday treats (Halloween, Valentine’s Day, etc.) and you hear a 10 year old say they think they’ve had too much candy, then tell me you don’t believe in the sugar high. Adults and kids both get a buzz from too much sugar without a holiday as an excuse.

: D I like to make the 2-inchers myself. Then, I can tell everyone that I “inadvertently” made them way too small, and they should take at least two!

Yeah! Chocolate chip dough! Don’t even really care much for the baked version just raw. Other types…nah they get baked into cookies.
