    Depends on your tradition. Some do not celebrate Christmas until January 6, what we would call Epiphany.

    @Everybody: May your Christmas Eve be unhurried and your Christmas Day unharried. May all children navigating between two parental households feel nothing but love. May all without spouses, families, or pets feel companioned. May all those opting for Chinese food and movies have every bit as much fun as those “doing” Christmas. And may there please, please, please be peace on earth.

    Well actually… You can’t give the servants the day off on Xmas… too many guests to entertain. So you give them boxing day off… but only after they have made up box lunches for the family so that nobody starves to death without the help of the kitchen staff. (Or, at least, that’s the way I heard it.)
