my q is how’s he getting out?

Terrible combination: bean bag chair and elderly person.

Somehow we knew this was going to happen…lol

Roll sideways, dude.

I had trouble getting out of beanbags in my teens! My folks had dreams of a family folk group (like the Partridge family but with beads and religious tracts) so they bought an extended-body van. But instead of buying a finished one, it was empty…mom thought beanbag chairs would make satisfactory seats and leave room for instruments etc. So not—on the first highway curve we all went rolling into the back!

my God-mother bought a bean bag chair, (yrs ago) she sat in it once.While trying to get out of it, she showed everything she owned…next day the bean bag chair was out at the curb.

Just roll, Earl, roll! It’s low to the floor, and that soup’s calling.

yep, just roll off the chair, crawl over to the nearest chair or couch and get yourself upright and go get some soup.

yeah, I’m and old person too so I know the drill.

Try rolling off of it.

Hey, we could all break that “4th wall”, jump on the bean bag, and eject him, like he ejected Muffin!

Where is his life alert when he needs it!! Que the commercial>>> Earl: Help! I’m stuck in my bean bag chair and can’t get my soup!. Life Alert Rep: We’ll have someone over right away!

Earl is too comfortable to get up. He’s just lying there with his hands folded…much like when the couch just leaps out and sucks him in (an earlier sequence).

Q. How manny beans in the bag…?

Methinks ol’ Earl would never make it out of a water bed too soon either !!!

I’m at about his age, and my first question for any piece of furniture is,“can I get back up?”

Had a pair of those in the 70’s until the cat started peeing on them.

I think it’s a good thing Earl has a bean bag chair..

It’s the only real exercise he’s going to get today..

(though it might put him in the hospital/or a chiropractors

office)

A few years ago my back went out on me and I found myself in a similar problem stretched out on my bed. I had my phone handy and called a doctor friend for her advice and she suggested I try rolling off the bed, and it worked.

Someone called this yesterday.

" Quick Lassie, bring the rope ! Good girl.! Now, let me slip it on you and I’ll hold on while you pull me up.

Wait ! Come back here. Where the hell do you think your going ?LASSIE !! COME BACK ! "
