Mmmm…nog-y!

When I was growing up, all eggnog was homemade and everyone argued about who’s mom made the best. Not that we ever turned down any from ANYONE’S Mom. Of course it wasn’t until years later that I found out why the dad’s liked it too — fortified, of course.

Forgot the Rum…

No matter how it’s fortified, I never have liked it. Give me the “fortification” and skip the nog.

In the 60’s, when my son had lost weight from the flu, the pediatrician had me make eggnog (without the rum) everyday for a week.

A liberal dose of Egg Nog in a glass of iced coffee is yummy.

I’ve tried to make it several times using different recipes. I just prefer the stuff from the grocery – then I pollute it by adding some Nestle’s Quik and then nuking it like hot chocolate. That’s how I like my eggnog. It’s also good replacing half the milk called for in cook-n-serve chocolate pudding. I know, I know – I’m a sick puppy.

I tried egg nog, didn’t like it.

I love christmas eve eve too. It’s my birthday!!

and yes I love egg nog.

I like eggnog.
