Hey, Lance … No, it’s not illegal to record someone without their knowledge; it happens all the time. That only comes to play when the “recorder” is going to use the “recordee’s” image or voice for a commercial (for profit) purpose. They’re standing in a publicly open portion of a retail establishment. Where’s Ann’s expectation of privacy?

As far as TJ being steps ahead. It goes along with something I heard recently about creating a “game plan”.

You start with the outrageous Plan G, and work backward to the simplistics of Plan A. That’ll keep you covered 99% of the time.

Yes, it’s good to have conflict. (I recently pointed out that TJ provides conflict for the “Luann” comics, but luckily that did not solve the TJ conflict in the comments section). … As entertaining as it is to argue about various aspects of Luann, I am a HUGE fan of Commentator 2 in your scenario; I feel like I could really relate with this character. I myself had someone cut in front of me in the lunch line fifteen years ago. I was eight years old at the time. I didn’t have TJ to avenge me, so I ended up hitting him. If only I had a Commentator 3 to express sympathy and assure me that this person deserves to face an armed firing squad, instead of a teacher who made us both sit by ourselves…

Clearly, Toni and Brad are doing something, even if Toni hasn’t let Brad have sex with her. So it’s not like Toni’s exactly “refusing” Brad. As for Brad and/or Bernice getting revenge on Ann… that would be a lot more satisfying. But that would involve working for Ann, which, without TJ’s sales numbers, would be horribly unpleasant.
