Good Morning / Night All ! I’m headed home to cook up a bunch of New Years Day dishes, which I’ll be bringing by later. As the Irish would say:In the New Year, may your right hand always be stretched out in friendship and never in need. And…May the saddest day of your future be no worse than thehappiest day of your past.

    Bev — it’s the exclamation points…..

In fact, Stel discovered the same thing accidentally, and x_tech figured it out….

He explains it in more detail in his formatting forum on a past Citizen Dog…but briefly….

Do you use the shortcut for posting pictures by putting the URL between two exclamation points?

Well, you probably, accidentally, typed Help! Help! without the space in between…..

Your browser thinks !help! was supposed to conatin a picture URL….but it doesn’t.

So it shows a symbol that means “I can’t post that picture.”

I feel like I’ve already seen the New Year arrive…. when in fact, here in Western Ballard County, it’s 11:26 pm Dec 31st.

I’m posting to you East Coasters from the year 2012…. when you’re already in 2013!

Does that make me a time traveler in your time? A visitor from the past?

Maybe if I get ahold of myself I can pull myself into 2013.

    But I don’t have a shirt like Gary’s.For which I am grateful, actually…..

Wow…. the Tiki exists in two years right now too. I’m here at the bar in 2012…. you guys went out the other door in 2013…..

After a while, the door to 2012 will close….. but if anybody stops by from Hawaii they can still use it for a little while…..

    Now I’m dizzy.Champagne and thinking don’t mix!

Bev…. That Shockwave thingy is probably Shockwave Flash….That’s the program on your computer that plays the videos you find on YouTube.

Just a thought…. but if it had been telling you for weeks or years that it needs to update, and you never click OK,

eventually you’d be running an outdated version….It would be incompatible with recent browser and/or YouTube updates, so it would crash.

Maybe that’s not what’s happening…. but …. maybe you need to download a newer Shockwave.

I mean he needs to seriously turn on a light the next time he dresses himself.Happy New Year one and all. Late night. Couple of impaired drivers removed from the road. Made it home safe.

Thanks to Susan, Xtech and Stel (who all provided parts of formulas back at CD). I just posted most of them to a simple wordpad doc so I can email it back to my house (and will print it out also).(p)I’ll use all that code more when I’m home with full use of my camera (and editing using the simple Irfanview which makes all that easy). I’m glad to say I still have plenty of time for this visit ;-D(p)HAPPY NEW YEAR

BTW…that shirt that Gary has on looks suspiciously like the one I bought for my (then future ) brother-in-law, along with a paisley tie, back in 1966. I think I was going for what was known as the “Carnaby Street” look. Hey! What did I know? I was only a kid at the time!! (I hope my sense of style has improved since then!)

Dazz, with some browsers (i.e. IE) if you leave out a closing HTML tag </tag> the Delete is disabled. So if you posted…

<big>HAPPY NEW YEARSto all my new BS friends!

without the </big> you won’t be able to delete the comment…Unless you switch browsers (just temporarily to use Delete)Firefox is much more forgiving in this respect.

X! Somebody once made me a skirt that matched that shirt. Honestly.

The very best part was that instead of a waistband, she left big slits between the top squares and threaded a sash though them.Sorta gathered up in big poofs… like a weird lampshade.Just lovely.

As for the exclamation points… I get them wholesale from x_Tech….

I do a lot of business with him (Brain bleach, glitter, etc) but I’m pretty sure his retail case prices are fair, too.

If a case is too many, though, I can probably sell you a few dozen.
