I’m cooking up a big batch of traditional Cajun good luck New Years Day food for ya’ll ! It’ll be ready about noon at the Tiki Bar.Gotta have Black Eyed Peas for Health, Pork for Luck and Cabbage and Collard Greens for Prosperity. Nouvelle année joyeuse !
Good Morning / Night All ! I’m headed home to cook up a bunch of New Years Day dishes, which I’ll be bringing by later. As the Irish would say:In the New Year, may your right hand always be stretched out in friendship and never in need. And…May the saddest day of your future be no worse than thehappiest day of your past.
I followed New Year from Moscow to NYC. But then waiting for it to get here (West Coast) I watched reruns on NetFlix and didn’t even notice the New Year here.
Come with me he says to himself. No he replies as he resists. Now he is going to begin to fight with himself. He will have to break out his Taser to get himself under control. With that shirt on. I mean he needs to seriously turn on a light the next time he dresses himself.Happy New Year one and all. Late night. Couple of impaired drivers removed from the road. Made it home safe.
Thanks to Susan, Xtech and Stel (who all provided parts of formulas back at CD). I just posted most of them to a simple wordpad doc so I can email it back to my house (and will print it out also).(p)I’ll use all that code more when I’m home with full use of my camera (and editing using the simple Irfanview which makes all that easy). I’m glad to say I still have plenty of time for this visit ;-D(p)HAPPY NEW YEAR
I had a little too much Champagne last night and missed wishing each and every one of you a very spectacularly happy new year! So….to Essex, x_Tech, margueritem, afficionado, beviek, Linguist, SusanSunshine, Redkaycei Repoc, briatollah, icky mudd, Sun, Veteran, Linda Dean, Storm, Number Six, Number Three, Bailey, Pacopuddy, Simpsonfan2, Chess18, jimmyh43105, LadyLavendar, Daffydowndilly, happyathome, Dry, nighthawks, LaflnLarry, DAZZ, and to anyone else I might have missed…….AND to Jerry Van Amerongen…..
BTW…that shirt that Gary has on looks suspiciously like the one I bought for my (then future ) brother-in-law, along with a paisley tie, back in 1966. I think I was going for what was known as the “Carnaby Street” look. Hey! What did I know? I was only a kid at the time!! (I hope my sense of style has improved since then!)
Thanks Stel!I’ll use all that code more when I’m home with full use of my camera (and editing photos using Irfanview) I’m glad to say I still have 3 weeks for this visit ;-D*
My comment beginning “OK” could be deleted but neither of the others. I added a bdfore the first big in the last one (just a guess that it would give me center justification). I won’t play any more on it now as I cannot delete my mistakes.
I SOOO remember all the photographic print poly suits from late 70s, early 80s. At least my brother (far left) and maybe dad (next to him) wore these in 79.

Well, a man can never have too many dress shirts, I think….
Essex … I was soooo glad to see that you have such amazing taste….
It means you must have loved the shirt I made you!It was kinda special, since I worked on it way back when you were missing….I just knew that if you ever saw it, you’d come back to Ballard Street….
X! Somebody once made me a skirt that matched that shirt. Honestly.
The very best part was that instead of a waistband, she left big slits between the top squares and threaded a sash though them.Sorta gathered up in big poofs… like a weird lampshade.Just lovely.
Bev.. I know we have a posting time warp…. but I still can’t see a shirt Essex posted with red dots….
Bev.. I know we have a posting time warp…. but I still can’t see a shirt Essex posted with red dots….He does have some snazzy yellow pants though. My my.
I was kind of thinking the shirts I made for Red and Briatollah weren’t as colorful as I wanted them to be…But you can’t always find the material you want, you know.
X…. I wasn’t referring to that at all…I just thought it was a funny typo…LOL…There are a few words I keep typing wrong to the point hat I no longer see the error…even if I know the way they SHOULD look, I’m too used to how they look the way I type them.
Hey Red, have a wee bit of the wham’s dram on me. There’s still a bit of the Mojo Pork Gumbo. Collards and Blackeyed peas left for you. Sorry the " Old Ball Coach " beat Michigan today – he is not one of my favorite coaches but one I have to admit ( grudgingly ) is one of the best !

Bev — it’s the exclamation points…..
In fact, Stel discovered the same thing accidentally, and x_tech figured it out….
He explains it in more detail in his formatting forum on a past Citizen Dog…but briefly….
Do you use the shortcut for posting pictures by putting the URL between two exclamation points?
Well, you probably, accidentally, typed Help! Help! without the space in between…..
Your browser thinks !help! was supposed to conatin a picture URL….but it doesn’t.
So it shows a symbol that means “I can’t post that picture.”

I feel like I’ve already seen the New Year arrive…. when in fact, here in Western Ballard County, it’s 11:26 pm Dec 31st.
I’m posting to you East Coasters from the year 2012…. when you’re already in 2013!
Does that make me a time traveler in your time? A visitor from the past?
SusanSunshine Premium Member almost 12 years ago
On that note…. another glass of bubbly please!
SusanSunshine Premium Member almost 12 years ago
Maybe if I get ahold of myself I can pull myself into 2013.
But I don’t have a shirt like Gary’s.For which I am grateful, actually…..
Wow…. the Tiki exists in two years right now too. I’m here at the bar in 2012…. you guys went out the other door in 2013…..
After a while, the door to 2012 will close….. but if anybody stops by from Hawaii they can still use it for a little while…..
Now I’m dizzy.Champagne and thinking don’t mix!

Bev…. That Shockwave thingy is probably Shockwave Flash….That’s the program on your computer that plays the videos you find on YouTube.
Just a thought…. but if it had been telling you for weeks or years that it needs to update, and you never click OK,
eventually you’d be running an outdated version….It would be incompatible with recent browser and/or YouTube updates, so it would crash.
Maybe that’s not what’s happening…. but …. maybe you need to download a newer Shockwave.

As for the exclamation points… I get them wholesale from x_Tech….
I do a lot of business with him (Brain bleach, glitter, etc) but I’m pretty sure his retail case prices are fair, too.
If a case is too many, though, I can probably sell you a few dozen.

I used to collect pie birds. At some point I decided to sell most of them and now I wish I hadn’t…. but I still have a few.One is a pie elephant.
Back then, nobody knew what they were… I found out from a book. Now they make reproductions.
