Well, the lads will have an easier time tonight. Don’t have to fish Andy out. Just slid ’em towards home !

of which there’s just not enough-of these Days.Everybody loves a canny good whackin’!Pretend it’s Your Boss…..Art by another Master, Chic Young.

actually, this strip is the work of Young’s longtime assistant Jim Raymond, who took over drawing the strip in the 50s, when Chic Young became legally blind (A common ailment amongst cartoonists), when Young died, his son took over writing the strip and the byline became “Young & Raymond” until the latter’s death in 1981

@John PikeNo, I didn’t. My team, LSU ( yes, those bayou bunglers) lost and then yesterday morning, my hot water heater went out, flooding the garage.I am waiting for the plumber, at the moment, then I can have the pleasure of shelling out $700 to him. so I can take a shower !In my little part of Paradise, you need a city permit to install a water heater, then have, not only a plumber but an electrician do the install and then a city inspector come out and approve the job. ARRGH !

If Andy lives long enough (and with HIS healthy habits, no reason why he shouldn’t!), probably global warming will solve this frozen canal problem for him………..Happy New Year to all the Cappers! May this new year bring all of you as much fun as Andy has (at his best) with no bad side effects!

This reminds me of my accident on the ice last month. Took me 4 days to recover for some strange reason as my injuries were minor.

I know I’m a teen drama queen but I’ll never forget it… I’m just grateful that I wasn’t hurt really badly.

Love the stars around Andy’s head.

    LOL xxx

Thank you, dear. Rohn didn’t do so much at the outset as he was only freshly introduced to me by “Spacer” and so.. there was a breaking in period for us, so to speak. Glad you like our replica. The Spaceman was great-guns about doing it and I admit some intrigue at the idea myself. .I believe Jack Innes has extended family in Ontario. I don’t know or can’t recall exactly, but I believe his father grew up over there before coming to our side. You seem to have all the names in a row. One year Dad took the family up to Ontario to some outdoor wildlife park where you drive through slowly, with the windows up, while looking out at creatures that would gladly have you for lunch, breakfast or whatever. We saw lions and monkeys and some other jungle type creatures in the park. They must keep them inside in winter since they are hot climate creatures. .I have seen Fort Erie a few times in my life. As an older person I can appreciate that Fort Niagara, on our side, is a good deal bigger than FT. Erie. I took my now deceased Uncle Bill both of those places and it seemed that The Ft. Erie tour was over near as soon as it began. I wanted to take Ed to Ft. Niagara one year but this was when my dad was failing and I decided to more or less hang close. We did however, go to Lockport and look at the Erie canal locks. There was a small museum type building with artifacts from the canal’s history.

    (I’ll just leave it there)

I keep thinking those Daleks were from Star Wars. They probably do have them on there but I wouldn’t know since I never watch it. What did you both do with the Dalek after you built it? Is it stored somewhere? I hope so…

I love wildlife animals but as long as they keep their distance and just continue relaxing in the sun and sleeping then it’s all good.

Is this Fort Erie? I think it’s the official website for it. I’ve never heard of it before. It looks amazing.

I hope you and your Uncle enjoyed yourselves.

P.S. I hope your Aunt’s furnace gets repaired very soon.

Your comment was a fun read even though I didn’t reply to a lot of it.

    Hope you’re doing good today.

POGO will not appear today (not by me anyway) due to computer miseries. I managed to limp thru the holidays, but now it’s time to fix things right. (Nothing to do with bandwidth).

Oh, and I forgot to mention that Fort Niagara, now on the US side, was originally for the fur trade by the French, who were of course Masters of Canada from 1534 to 1763

That’s the one thing I miss about the Southwest. My home in Sedona,Az. was on Natural Gas for heat, hot water, cooking, etc. – even the dishwasher, and the the washer/dryer. The only thing, aside from the usual electric stuff was the swamp cooler in the summer. My utility bills were extremely reasonable.I’m not particularly handy, although I can do the most basic stuff. I did consider replacing the water heater myself but disposal of the old one was somewhat of a problem ( I also miss my pickup truck ) and because of the way this one was installed ( or jerry rigged ) I had some qualms about the several things and decided I was better trusting and expert who’d stand behind his work ( I’ve used this guy before ).

Dr Who, for me, has become a joke. Too much reliance on effects; a clown of a doctor; weak story lines and too much time spent on Earth..The originals may have had lousy costumes; wobbly scenery and suspect cliff-hangers but they left something to the imagination, as a good book does.
