Sickly Thursday Hugs ((((((( Cappers ! )))))))I ache from my head to my toesMy throats raw and so is my noseThe coffee tables full upWith glasses and clutterI’m moaning and aflutterI need my mother(and more ginger ale please real quick)
Thanks Linguist, that made ME feel better, and I wasn’t even sick. Once again, I did not get a flu shot. Every year I say, this may be the big one. Been saying that since my one and only flu shot gave me the flu in 1972. (Rhyme not intended).
Those Daleks are from your very own homegrown Dr. Who tv programmies (1963 to the present). Your mention in another post about “Family Guy, American Dad, etc” are programs that I look at when at a place that has cable. That is not the Fort Erie I was referring to, but the actual historic Ft. Erie. It was an English thing back when Canada was itself a colony of the crown and whom some hint, hint, Mikeyj still think that it is. No problem with U.S.-Britain relations, just glad we’re a wholly self owned spinoff. No need to respond to all that chatter. I am assuming that they got the furnace running. I will hear about it eventually. As I stated in a previous day’s post, I sold it to a guy named Mark as I was no longer allowed to keep it in the apartment.
You must be at your wits end having to explain this stuff to a clueless ‘new’ adult. It’s just I’ve never saw an episode of Dr Who in my life as I’m not a ‘Sci Fi’ type of person. I used to have DVDs of Star Wars which my next door neighbour gave to me but I could only watch for about half an hour and that was it. Couldn’t get into them.
Sorry about the mix up on the ‘Fort Erie’ place. Typical me!
The only funny thing about today’s strip was the waiter calling Andy “Sir.” I have a couple of friends who are cops, and I’ve had to listen plenty of times about how they hate to call perps “Sir” even though they couldn’t possibly deserve that respect. (“Sir, were you aware that you shot your neighbor without asking official permission?”
@MikeyjNeedless to say, your version was much better than today’s!@Linda DeanThe misery caused by swine fluContinues to accrue and accrueIt’s best to be boldHave a Koala Bear cold(The friendliest cold in the zoo!)
Awwwww! I absolutely loved that clip of ‘Lassie’ The two little boys are adorable as well. Was the dog lying down called Timmy? He’s a cutie too!
I get what you mean now about the echo of the bark.
Thank you for that detail on Dr Who also. I probably will give it a try one day. Is it the type of programme where there are two men… The good guy and the bad guy?
It sounds like it.
Your comment made me feel a whole lot better.
Do you like it when this Andy Capp page is busy? I know I do.
I soit’nly like your revised dialog. Did they turn the lights down in your version so people wouldn’t get too hard a look at Andy ? ^^Naw, in my version, the lights were down cause I was showing it to be a romantic, candle lit kind of place…which Andy wanted to get the h…eck out of, as soon as possible
I used to think Vermont and New York extra sharp cheddars were good ! Never heard of the mature Canadian until here. Oh, well…^^Thx for confirming how good Canadian “old” cheddar is ;)

Can’t rightly confirm that, as I have never tried it. I’ll take your word on it though.^^You were replying to six who was talking about Canadian cheese… I took his words for yours

I think Andy knows more cheeses than he does wines. He’s heard of red and white but that’s as far as it goes.

C’mon Andy lad, just op on over the pond laddy and we’ll get you a good bit of Balderson’s old and that’ll fix you up.

Why are you bothered about the cheeses, Andy?
I would have thought the beverages would light a spark of interest in you.
Poor Flo in the last panel looks like she wants the floor to eat her up.

You can scrape surface mould off Cheddar and it is still edible – no harm done. Some hotels do it!

That’s an awesome, EXTREMELY funny strip.
The waiter had that coming to him. I love how Flo is covering her eyes.

@Number SixThe flu shot gave me a MAJOR case of the flu. Btw, they were discussing QI and The Prisoner on Basic Instructions yesterday.
jmcx4 almost 12 years ago
@Number SixThey thought that QI was a stealth re-make of Prisoner. See link.
