I’m too pooped to pop, tonight and have a very early work day tomorrow, so I’m headed for the poop deck.Actually, I’m navigating my way to the Captain’s Quarters. Talk to you all later from rainy New Orleans. Yes, I’m “on the road” again this weekend !
Well, I’m at the Tiki, but nobody else has been here for an hour….though somebody always shows up….that’s why it never closes.
For now, though….the Monkey is sleeping…. Fenton’s doing fine. He can use one of the smaller grinders if he needs it…I just cleaned the big one.
Dimitri will be in soon to do the floors.
I was waiting for Red to show up, but I’m falling asleep.I guess I’ll be like Bev and Ling and Brian and Essex, and go home to bed…. since I can’t be like the Monkey and sleep in the chandelier….
Red, when you do show up, have a nice Scotch on me….just put it on Essex60’s tab!LOL…..
@Happy, this IS very similar in style to some “trebuchets” I’ve seen. Not all have the same mechanisms. Rather a waste of shoes, tho’ unless he or she have many they no longer wear.
email to: Essex60from: StelBel and Mel O’Dell Real Estate
Hrumphhh!!!!…..I do believe that your new house, which certainly has that “down-home” look to it, is outside the Ballard County line. Ballard County does NOT have any property that is of such small scale.
Pictures of animals in clothes really freak me out. Animals are fluffy enough without them. Bears don’t wear pullovers or cardigans. My dogs were happy enough in the snowy midwinter.
Ess, you might want to check out the uesd previously owned house mart held every weekend at the old drive theater and feed lot.I sure you can find something in your price range.
We had a couple of days of heavy snow and today (Sat) it’s cleared up.I spent hours shoveling snow, but it was nice to see blue sky for the first time in weeks. We get wintertime temperature inversions here, so the sky is usually overcast, grey and bleak. I have a big bathtub and some epsom salts. I’m going to soak my aching bones for an hour or so.
Oh, Essex, I am so sorry…I will return one of the Lamborgini’s immediately…maybe that will allow you to purchase the barn on Stormy’s lot…it has its own outhouse….and a seperate shower, if you can lift the barrel of rain water on yourself…
there is no help for Essex on his housing situation…but its what he deserves…..but then maybe I am being too hard hearted….he does at least deserve a bedroom along with his outhouse and shower….
Essex — when I was here a couple of hours ago, I read your comment from an hour before, about the two story house, and I was surprised you didn’t show us a picture….There was no indication that an image was missing.
So I found one…. and I posted it….
Coming back to Ballard St now, at 7-ish …. your earlier post DOES have a picture in it…the exact same one I found.
(Yeah yeah….great minds and all that…)You probably wondered why I re-posted it!
Essex,You are always welcome to stay at my house on Ballard Street or utilize one of the Officer’s Quarters on my galleon. My home is quite spacious ( see Stel for pictures ) and is always adequately supplied with good food, fine wines and liquors and entertainment. The Irish Rover, is a bit more quaint but still, as you know, boasts a fine board of food and drink. Entertainment aboard the galleon is a bit more Irish/Scots Folk music and Zydeco but still great.
@SusanSunshineTrust me Miss Sunshine. My galleon, The Irish Rover, is equipped with the latest and finest in safety equipment, and excellent ship’s doctor – Dr. Takum Zuseinfellgut !Essex has no worries around my crew of ship and will be a most welcome addition, should he so choose.Local sightseeing is perfectly save for someone who knows how take proper precautions, as I’m sure Ess is perfectly capable of doing.. Besides, I have a very protective crew. No guest of mine has ever come to harm !
Fenton, you are off now arent you sugar?….Lets go home and leave the little monkeys to man the daquiri blender….they can handle it quite well, until Susan comes to man them….bless thier little hearts, they all so try thier hardest…I have a fire ready in the fireplace and we can chillax in front of it and have a milk bony and popcornish time while we relax in front of the fire…..be still my heart and Fenton….we all need to feed our fires….
Bev …. I think you probably know… but that picture is the one that was in BOTH the posts you quoted.
Essex and I coincidentally found and posted the same picture…. which I think is funny.
I couldn’t see his at first, but when I came back later they were both there. But when you couldn’t see either of them, I put a copy on a different host.
The house you gave him the paint for is the one Bailey said looks like hers.Ess posted it cos he thought it looked decrepit…. but I said I’d love to have it.
“comfortable black flat casual shoe?….” It seems most flats in the stores are little more comfortable than heels, so I never buy them (make my own “turned shoe” flats and use foam liners inside). They are supremely comfortable and last forever (downside is 2 weeks of work). This red one is not black, only my second pair so far; I have dark brown with me now.
When these “heraldic” ones are done (or even before) I’ll make another simple modern pair in the red pigskin uppers; I have plans for a white pair next.
I want to thank all those who contributed to Essex’s real estate problems and solutions for thoroughly confusing the resident real estate agents, StelBel and Mel O’Dell .
Melstill doesn’t know if he should start scheduling the “This Old House” renovation crew or not….
You guys are all marvelous! Both in your fantasies and your artistic natures. Man, thank you once again for allowing me to bask in your talent and artistry!
Just how drunk can one architect get?++++++++++One?Check the corner table. The one with all the empties. That’s the daily meeting of the Ballard St. Structural Paperclip Architects Drinking Society.
They design from whatever position they find themselves in the morning.
BTW …. Duncan was one of the nicknames I had for my little dog…..cos when I was standing in one spot, holding her leash, she’d start jumping impatiently.
She’d bounce so high her head would hit my hand…. and I’d start playing like she was a yo-yo on a string.

Oooh… Bri…. I guess spoiled Californians can’t complain….
We’re having an unusually sustained cold snap….Tonight is forecast to be 25º…but that’s probably spring in Utah!
The problem is, we usually get rain, which is missing this year. We’re not prepared for so many clear, cold nights …. I don’t even own winter clothes.
Places aren’t well insulated…. they’re often drafty, like mine…. and we’re just not acclimated to the cold.
So we shiver in weather that would probably make you throw off your jacket. :)

But I have to leave soon, cos I have a long day tomorrow.
Fenton is off tonight, so if you want to use that credit, just tell the little guys… it’s fun to watch them write with a pen, anyway.
