Man, I was just on a jury a couple of days ago….We had a man’s life in our hands…WE were the People. Nobody but us..Just chumps taking time out of our lives to do our duty…Nobody to question our decision (except on appeal, but OUR decision will always be on the record) … Our opinion was literally the Law Of The Land….Kinda awesome…BTW, seeing the justice system from the inside out really is an eye opener…Talk about making sausage…Sheesh!
I read this for the family strips. The sociopolitical commentary has become downright dreadful. It’s nothing a 13 year old couldn’t do better in 5 minutes in meme form.
I suspect that genuinely caring about the former Kate Middleton, now Katherine, Duchess of Cambridge, is NOT a proper insanity defense for most cases in the USA. I’m sorry, Mr. Miller, but I don’t “get” this one, and as a staunch supporter and loyal subject of Her Majesty, Elizabeth II, Queen of Canada (yes, she’s Queen fo England, but she IS also Queen of Canada; that’s a proper title), I must stand and defend the monarchy. I have spoken with Princess Anne, watched Prince Charles working the crowd, and watched the security around the Prince, and you couldn’t pay me enough to take their jobs – not even if you could elevate me to the 1% club. Long live the Queen! Long live Prince William and Duchess Katherine!
emptc, they say that CSI shows make everything look cut and dried..Some jurors today want to be TOLD who’s guilty, but it’s THEIR job to tell the court who is guilty…and usually it’s pretty confusing figuring who did what….
The US doesn’t have a monarchy, still it’s not happy. We have a Royal Family and even if a few of our people don’t want it; it’s not up to anyone else to criticise.
I guess some people are missing the point of why Wiley selected Kate Middleton rather than a Lindsay Lohan, or a Kardashian. It is precisely the point that she is a Royal and so far removed from the American normal celeb infatuation ( unless you are a real anglophile ) that you would have to be crazy to give a rat’s patoot about her life !
You have a president who knows the score. His opponents want to be treated like kings, and are completely out of touch with reality – just like Canada’s Prime Minister.
Earth to gmartin, Earth to gmartin, come in gmartin…You realize that that is crazy talk, right? Talk like that probably makes you too insane to own a gun….
This man may just be totally nuts….who in thier right minds on this side of the pond would care about any of the Brits unles they were blood relatives?
Keep in mind that we only know anything about these people because the people in the news report it as such. To me, and to many others, none of that Royals stuff is news – it is just a silly distraction. And yet the news folks choose to report it as news. So, now, who are the dummies?
(Did I use “choose” correctly? I get chose and choose mixed up).

Come on. Kardashian-watching is a much better insanity plea. Ask Bruce.

Linquist, yeah, I almost went there…But ironically, the judge at the trial I was a juror for, was a hottie!….I kid you not!

If he said he genuinely cared about Lindsay Lohan they would never let him out of jail.

A better insanity defense would be “He wastes his time putting comments in on comics” :)"

Gentlemen (no, I’m not going to say “gentle-persons” so as to be “PC”) should be able to disagree without these attitudes. C’mon children, play nice.
