Just like the baby in the strip (figuratively that is), he’s growing everyday. So, yes, he can!

I’ll have you know a jack raised my jerkel! Pardon my ignorance, but I don’t see anything political here. I tried reading the political cartoons yesterday, but they weren’t funny.

Why is that offensive, why do you choose to be offended over that? I am curious…since I did not find it offensive and I am not conservative.

Bolding, underlining or italicizing the word “you” in the word balloon would improve the joke.

Young girls have children long before they get out of the “pony” phase. It’s a shame, but a fact of life, nonetheless.

Some folks (on both sides of the aisle) just go LOOK for something to offend them. It’s the only way they can get attention. They learned it as babies by crying incessently, and as toddlers by hollering MOM! MOM! MOM! MOM! MOM!

Wow, I don’t even know how to reply to Nab’s comments. “Liberals love evil….Conservatives love good”. what an odd way of thinking. Everyone has a right to their opinions I guess.

Oh for heaven’s sake! It’s a comic strip! It’s meant to be funny!

You see it, you laugh, you forget about it!

Besides, it is sort of true that looking after an animal requires much more effort, time and resources than looking after your own child.

Dog owners have told me that looking after a baby is easier than looking after their puppy!

Why? Apparently because the baby can’t run around, isn’t born with sharp teeth, and you can put a nappy on it to prevent it from fouling up the entire house.

And if you really want to look at it seriously, think of it this way, they are trying to give the kid a taste of what looking after a pony will be like by looking after the baby … and it isn’t offensive, or neglect or whatever the hell it is you claim it to be because in the case of the baby, the parents can keep a close eye on what’s happening and intervene easily. It sure as hell beats torturing an animal and having to send said animal back when the girl loses interest in it…

The baby is wanted, the pony isn’t.

I’m a bit late commenting but… all these comments about neglect on part of mothers. Where were the fathers exactly? Is there nothing expected of them as parents, or is it always the mother’s fault??
