A cartwheel slide? That just might work! The distraction will cause him to drop the ball. Safe!

It may be feet first…into the face of the defender.

well i never had to slide into a base, i just held up at second and let the next batter bring me around. my best hit ever was a triple, and by the time i got that far , i needed a beer

i hit my only homer and my only triple in back to back at bats. all i ever got were singles and doubles, but i got a lot of them. couldn’t run very well, though, and i don’t think i ever slid in my life. I’d probably have ended up like willie mays hayes in “major league” the first time he slid - 5 feet short of the bag!

I think I’m much like you. Although the only 2 4 baggers I hit were while I was under the weather - in July. Those were back to back homers.

WebEditor seems to think our tax plan is unbiblical and hateful. Did you happen to read my response to him?

fritzoid addressed you as Jephthah over at B.C.

I addressed WebEditor’s assumptions in case you missed it. We had a couple more exchanges.

Stamina? I was called in from the bullpen (or bleachers). When you get the call you gotta take the ball.

    P.S.

Jephthah was one of the Twelve Judges of Israel.

Plus, the ‘El’ man missed a rotation or two, and had a well rested arm.

Polonius was a character from Hamlet. He was considered wise by some–a busybody by others. Who knows what fritzoid meant.
