All the terrible things that could ever happen to me have already happened in my mind. THAT has made me a better person.. As a child I had already seen my death and the death of people who were important to me. When I was about 6, I became a different person. I can’t explain it but I still remember the day that I became who I am now.
White Margarine! Yes, as a child I lived in one of those dairy states where restaurants had to post a sign in the window if they used a non-dairy substitute and the margarine came uncolored. It came in a plastic bag with a bit of colorant you could knead into it… just the sort of job that could be handed off to a kid.
