Cathy and Irving are moving to the stage of marriage.Being a retired government auditor, I did the percentage of how long I have been married to being single. I have been married 93% of my adult life, minus childhood, teens and college years. Seeing her every day for a few weeks, we knew. She said it was too early at three months. Her sister made me get the ring in six months. She wore a Mexican style white wedding dress at a Navy Chapel wedding. She had four Naval Officers in Dress Whites crossed swords so she and I could walk through into marriage. When do you know you love someone? The surgeon asks if he should he take out your wife’s thyroid if he thinks it is cancerous. Your Life stands still. You are with her in the ER. She has a blood clot in her leg. You pray it doesn’t break loose and go to the heart or brain, causing a heart attack or stroke. Your Life stands still. Those are the moments you realizes how much you love this woman for 40 years. That is Marriage.

After a certain age, every ounce clings to the body like a woeful stranger.

Personally, I’m with Irving on this one. At least Cathy covered the [eye-roll], though—twice.

    HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.

“The first ten pounds lost don’t count anyway because they’re family.” Where on earth does Cathy come up with this nonsense anyhow?!? As far as I’m concerned, every pound lost definitely counts as a pound lost — and it doesn’t matter whether she considers it a “stranger”, “friend” or “family member”! A pound is a pound is a pound to me!!!!!

    Hi, rgcviper!

hendelca: So jealous of your right now!!! Have a great time in Scotland. “See” you when you get back!!!!!

Macushlalondra: My deepest condolences to you and your friend at the impending loss of her beloved husband. My husband and I have been married for 25 years and I hope we’ll be able to someday celebrate another 25 more [at least!] because I don’t feel as though I’ve had the opportunity yet to love him nearly as much as I want or would I’d like!!!!! God bless them both!!!!!!!!!!

Hello and Happy Saturday, fellow “Cathy” clan. Hope everyone’s having a really nice weekend so far!!!

Cathy’s been seriously around the block too many times with those extra ten pounds…too much, Cathy! If you can’t deal with those first ten pounds, however do you expect to deal with numbers 11-30?! Had a great time at a high school graduation I attended yesterday…the senior class had 72 graduates in it and they were having Fun…best graduation I’ve ever been to!!! ;)

Everyone is saying it is about time that Cathy and Irving got married. My question: Why get married if it does not last? How can Cathy and Irving do to make their marriage endure? My wife gave me her heart. She gave me her goodness and happiness. She made me happy every moment I was with her during our courtship. She loved me. I loved her. No games are played between the two of us. She always tries to bring answers, not problems to the marriage. She has worked hard to make our marriage a partnership. We are committed to each other. Love is about living for each other.Marriage is about one life together.
