Saleswoman: The high-powered, no-nonsense business suit with a flirty lace camisole peeking out the top! Cathy: Would a man who wants to be taken seriously go to work with his underwear peeking out of his suit??...NO! Forget the lace camisole! I'm a serious, dedicated professional! I refuse to have underwear peeking out of my suit!! Saleswoman: NAKED under the suit! Also tres saucy! Assistant: Especially if you add a stiletto heel with toe cleavage!

Toe cleavage. Wow, that’s an image I wish I could erase from my mind.Hello Cathy friends!

I hate “toe cleavage”, but then I’m old.
I don’t consider the camisole, underwear.

Cathy’s absolutely right. How can she possibly expect to be taken seriously at work when the people there will be more interested in — not to mention distracted by — her peek-a-boo lingerie rather than by what she’s contributing to the job? She needs to completely disregard these saleswomen and find a nice, pretty blouse to go under her suit jacket instead. Another added benefit: if she gets a little too warm, she can always take her jacket off if she’s wearing a blouse under it . . . not so much if she’s wearing a camisole.
Hi, rgcviper!
Hello and Happy Tuesday, fellow “Cathy” fans. Hope everyone’s having a really nice day today! :-)

I guess I’m thinking of a thin tank top with lace. I wear those under low cut blouses and sweaters. What’s the difference if it looks like the same thing but isn’t sold in the lingerie department?

HI, MOM. Hello, Clan.

Right on, Cathy! I have a flowered camisole, but only wear it when it gets cold out (and I’m usually cold all winter). Your suit looks OK, though. Ever thought about wearing a nice brand-name turtleneck under the jacket? ;)
