Cathy: I bought my friend a purse online. I got nervous that it wouldn't be shipped on time, so I re-bought it in a store. Then I found the same purse in a different store for 30% off, so I re-bought it there. Then I found the same purse in a different store for 40% off, so I re-bought it in that store. Then the purse I ordered online arrived along with a catalog offering a slightly better purse for 45% off plus a $12.95-value gift with purchase. With eleven days to go until Christmas, I am about to buy gift number one for the fifth time. The shopping's barely started, but the shopper's completely spent. Charlene on phone: Ring! Hi! It's Charlene! I got the cutest purse today!! Holiday returns. Holiday re-buys.

That’s absurd

You can return most of those, Cathy. You can even return the ones purchased online, although that may not be worth the shipping charges. Hello Cathy friends!

Wha … ? Why … ? Don’t think there’s an [eye-roll] big enough for this one. (Although, good for her for looking for deals—to an extent.)
Good Sunday Morning, Crew.

This is sooooo CATHY all over, isn’t it? The story of her life!

I would have returned before re-buying. And some stores will give discounts when you prove you found a better deal. I’m glad that my friends and I don’t shop for each other – spending time together is gift enough.
Happy Sunday Cathy friends!

Who but Cathy would continuously buy the same purse over and over again without returning the one(s) she bought before it in order to get her money back on them?!? kea’s right: that’s absolutely absurd!!!!!
Meanwhile . . . I’m very particular regarding what I look for when it comes to purses so I prefer to buy my own. Chances are, there’s no way anyone’s going to come anywhere near close to what I like and want so they’re better off not wasting their time and money even trying.
Hi, rgcviper! (From yesterday): Thanks. It does help a little bit. ;-)
lindz.coop & QuietStorm27 (from yesterday): My husband’s birthday is in December so he’s already getting a night out (with me, of course! :-) ) for that occasion so I’d really like to come up with a physical gift he’ll enjoy for Christmas. He likes the Denver Broncos and the University of Tennessee but he’s already got plenty of sportswear for both those teams. His wallet’s in great shape so he doesn’t need one of those and he no longer wears a watch because he carries his phone with him everywhere he goes. He occasionally plays golf but he’s already got everything he needs for that (and he doesn’t have any other hobbies besides that one). See??? Impossible to buy for!!!!! It’ll probably be jeans and shirts again but if I manage to come up with anything else, I’ll be sure to let everyone know!!!!! ;-)
Hello and Happy Sunday, fellow “Cathy” fans. Hope everyone’s having a really nice day today! :-)

That’s the problem with buying ‘bargains’, do as I do&just buy gift cards…easy!

I agree with GretchensMom and lindz.coop. For most women, a purse is not only a personal item that reflects your personal taste, but most people have no idea how each woman uses her purse. Some use it as a dumping ground. Others like lots of compartments and minimal is better. Some like leather while others like a logo to show. My MIL bought me a wallet once and I had to exchange that and still felt sorta bad about it. Heck, I wouldn’t even buy my husband a wallet because he has moved from wallets to clips and I don’t even know what he likes now. (I totally feel GsMom’s pain with her husband’s gift!)
