Cathy: His CDs... out! His DVDs... out! His ESPN schedule... his golf tees... his water bottles... his PC magazines... out! His filthy gym bag containing his... ring box. The pre-valentine's day emotional purge ceremony, day 3:
Aaaack!! I don’t remember everything, but isn’t this early? Or maybe they had a long engagement. No eye rolls today, but definitely an eye pop.Hello Cathy clan! I hope more join us today (compared to yesterday) for this big news!
I knew that their fight was what led up to the engagement, but I hadn’t seen the beginning of this particular story arc. It’s fun seeing how they went from breaking up (for the 1,897,424th time) to being engaged and gettting married (exactly one year later, in fact!).
Well, even if this is where they get engaged, the comic still went for a long while with them as a married couple so I know we have a while to go. I think this is the official engagement. Funny how he seemed more into his TV last week than into Cathy.
If Irving was ready to propose to Cathy, then why on earth did he break up with her, saying that they had “drifted apart” and even though he thought he was ready for their relationship, it turned out that he actually wasn’t ready after all? That just doesn’t make any sense to me. And men say that women are confusing!!!!!
Hi, rgcviper!
lightenup: Cathy and Irving were engaged approximately 9 days short of one year before they got married. (Got that info from my good “friend” Wikipedia!!!) ;-)
O-Kay: You’re absolutely correct. The last Cathy comic strip was published on October 3, 2010.
The Awakener: Don’t worry. There’s still 6 more years worth of Cathy comics for us to read here on a daily basis before it comes to yet again another close.
Hello and Happy Thursday, fellow Cathy fans. It’s really great to “see” you all here today!!! :-)
Irving proposed to Cathy on Valentine’s Day, 2004 and they were married on February 5, 2005. So if this is the run from 2004, then we’re right on schedule.

I don’t think the strip ended until…2010? In any case, no, there’s still a looooong time to go until the end.
