Are stores that sell People Magazine considered one of the essential services that hasn’t been shut down?

I read all my magazines free from the library. They are mostly adds, and not worth a nickel.

We are quickly finding out, world wide, what “Essentials” are. Lucky, no?

From the first panel, I was expecting Irving’s mom to make a comment to Cathy about spending too much of her son’s money. But it pivoted away from that.

Unfortunately People Magazine is far less expensive then fresh fruits and vegetables in this part of the world – but nowhere near as nutritious. Cathy’s MIL is sure showing who she considers the most important. Of course, looking at her she can probably afford to have several meals of People Magazine.
Happy Friday Eve to everyone here today. To bad it is going to rain for the next couple of days although that is expected – after all it is a long weekend for us.

If I see someone reading People, or Star, or any of their ilk, I mentally deduct 50 IQ points from my previous estimation. Then I begin to doubt they’re even able to read, and double check to make sure the magazine is right side up.

You must have a really low opinion then of Celine Dion.

Wonder if the staples in the magazine add extra flavor … ?

People Magazine would be real close to the bottom of any list of essentials I would ever make. Shopping for groceries is traumatic enough right now.
