He’s remarkably sharp for an old guy. ;-) I probably look similar to how I looked 20 years ago, mostly because my hair doesn’t look good in other styles and I try to take care of myself. But I don’t do it because I’m in denial of my age; I do it because I feel better this way.

As I’ve grown older I find that my fashion sense has not improved, however, I also noticed that my disdain for most new fashions has increased. How can I care so much more about something I don’t care about? What’s it to me?

I thought men were a whole lot less vain about the effects of aging than most women seem to be? I’m just trying to remember if he was always this neurotic (especially about his looks) or was he, at one time, a fairly normal, rational human being that married a whack-a-doodle and her nuttiness eventually rubbed off on him the longer they lived together?! ;-)

Most men I know are not vain about the effects of aging – but I do know a few who are even worse then most women I know. The money they spend on keeping their ‘youthful’ look is astounding. I have much better ideas of where my money should be spent – or saved.
