Irving: These are your old high school on Facebook?? HOO, BOY! Have they let themselves go!! THAT old guy could be your grandpa! HA, HA! And THAT geezer?? HEY, POPS! WHAT'S UP WITH THE HAIR?? THE '70S ARE OVER! Cathy: That's a picture of YOU, honey. I understand. Let's be happy it's "Facebook", not "From-the-neck-down-book".
Time is not kind to many of us – especially when you can remember your younger years clearly. The body wears out and gravity seems to get stronger every year. BUT – if you don’t think you are old your are not. Accept the reality but still refuse that impulse to sit on your porch and tell the kids to “get off of my lawn”. Keeping your brain active is critical. My body knows it will be turning 70 all to soon but my brain does not accept 70 as being old. Fortunately my body and brain communicate reasonably well so I don’t overdo it trying to do things that I could 50 years ago. You cannot avoid getting older but you can avoid thinking older. (yes, it does sound like I am trying too hard to convince myself that 70 is not old!)
Have a fantastic Monday – even if it is a Monday.
