Cathy: For 200 calories, you could eat an entire watermelon... Infuse your body with vitamins... Support your local farmers... Reduce your carbon footprint... And not feel hungry for hours! Or, for 200 calories, you could eat 13 greasy chips. Charlene: I'll take the chips. Cathy: What?? YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO CHOOSE THE MELON! THE CHIPS WERE FOR ME!!

In this case, I would pick the potato chips; had my first exposure as a toddler and disliked the taste of watermelon. (Love cantaloupe and always did,)

I’d take the chips too. It is not that I don’t like watermelon it is that getting one that is properly ripened here is difficult. My wife does give me a couple of chunks of watermelon and other fruits to go along with my cereal for breakfast and I do eat it (or else) but way too often there is little or no flavour or it is still green or overripe. Chips you can count on being pretty much the same as the last handful you ate.
Friday eve again. And a long weekend too. Now if the rain predicted for the weekend holds off everyone will be happy. Enjoy the rest of your day.

I would choose the watermelon over the chips. I don’t find chips as tasty as I did years ago. Now they are too greasy and salty, and I feel gross after eating chips. Too bad her psychology didn’t work on this lady. It’s like dealing with a toddler. Don’t give them a choice if you care about the end result. Only give them choices where either option is fine, as in “would you like broccoli or brussel sprouts?”
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Thursday! Have a great day, all!

What a couple of melon heads, huh? Ha.
Of course, I say this facetiously. I love the “Cathy” strip and all the characters in it.
