Of all the photos we take while on vacation the single one we put on the family Christmas card is the best.

When pictures cost a buck a piece to print, people were motivated to only print the good ones. That’s how I became a better photographer.

Other than a few (like no more than 5) highlights I have never subjected anyone to view all our vacation pictures – even back in the film days when only a few pictures were ever taken. I have, at my request, viewed my parents’ slides of their vacations – they went to a lot of interesting places.
I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend and is enjoying this fine Monday.
