My 74th birthday started with Guten Tag and a Jewish professor explaining the table of elements; love e-cards! I wish I could share it with the clan and my sisters because I’m still giggling!
As to this strip, I didn’t miss anything 20 years ago and wish I had missed it today! :-)
Glad I do not have a dog as she would recognize my stage blacks and realize I was going to be gone again. Closing night for two plays by Chekhov – “The Bear” and “The Proposal” put on by the summer students at the theatre. They are doing an excellent job on these two comedies. It never ceases to amaze me that there is so many talented people in a small town.Hopefully tomorrow I will start to get caught up on the rest of the comics I read. It has been a busy week.
I’m with you, Charlene. It’s a thankless job being part of Cathy’s life, but someone’s got to do it. C’mon Charlene, let’s go get a drink and talk about Cathy and Irving.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Thursday! A HUGE Happy Birthday to sweet karlykru! Have a great day, all!
I love Electra. She is just so darned cute and it’s a real shame that Cathy is such a negligent “mother” to her ….. leaving her home alone so much, and over-feeding her, then not taking her for walks in order to trim off some of that excess pudginess (on the both of them!).
For four days over this past Labor Day weekend, my husband and I dog-sat for friends of ours while they were out of town because they couldn’t take their Cocker Spaniel, Sadie, with them. She is so adorable and I can’t begin to express how NICE it was having a dog in the house again! It really brought back a lot of memories of my sweet little girl who passed on to the Rainbow Bridge a little over three years ago, making me miss her all the more. Maybe one of these days we’ll be ready to get another fur-baby to fill our heart, home, and lives with that kind of joy again, but until then we’ll just live vicariously through all of our dog-owning friends and offer to sit for them whenever they need it. ♥

Hello and Happy Thursday, fellow Cathy fans. Hope you all had a really great day! :-)
Yeah—“date feet” can’t look good to pets craving attention. Hang in there, Electra—only a little while till our favorite Whack-a-Doodle returns, likely to regale us with stories about her night out …
