The logistics of Christmas is not to be underestimated. For lack of tape a label was lost. For lack of a label the gift was lost. For lack of a gift the smile was lost. Let’s not let all that happen. Get plenty of tape. You know, if you wrap the whole thing in Duck Tape, you don’t need paper.
This one hits close to home. I did run out of tape before I got all the stocking stuffers wrapped. My wife had to head out at the last minute and find more tape. Luckily she was successful and the gifts were completed. I did warn her we need more wrapping paper for next Christmas though.
My daughter started out on her trip up to visit us but turned around after 2 hours of the 8 hour drive. Smart girl. Hopefully the roads and visibility will be better tomorrow. So for us, Christmas Eve is tomorrow night and then again on Wednesday when my younger daughter and son-in-law get here.
I hope everyone is safe and warm and nobody has to travel in any storm areas. Happy Christmas Eve – or Happy Saturday Night.
If Cathy hadn’t waited until the last minute to buy all of her Christmas presents because she had to compare the price of every single item in every single store she could find them in beforehand, she would’ve had more than enough time to wrap everything before she got to her parents’ house, but because of poor planning on her part, it necessitated a mini-emergency tape-wise on her mother’s part. Of course, Cathy probably learned that bad habit from her mother to begin with so I’m sure this doesn’t phase Anne in the least since she was well-prepared with plenty of tape for gift-wrapping in advance of Cathy’s arrival.

I definitely am an old guy. What I heard is that they had brought videotape to record the festivities. :)
