I remember as a small child in the mid-sixties, really really wanting the cat’s-eye-with-rhinestones glasses. (Hey—they were shiny, and I was three or four years old). The optometrist would always say, “Oh sorry honey, we don’t have those anymore.” What he meant was, your mom will kill me if I let your choose those! Also I think they were for older women, not in kids’ sizes.

Times have certainly changed…or maybe not…

In later years, Calvin changed his name to “Bono,”

I get the colors……it’s the different lens colors of the glasses Calvin is trying on. Very clever.

Gotta love the Spaceman Spiff shades mom!!!

They say to choose glasses that complement your head shape – guess hair shape would work too.
