A vet did that to my bouncy little dog one time…. well with gauze tape, not duct tape, so it wasn’t sticky…. but still….

He was about to give her a rabies shot, and he said she was “too excitable.”

First and last time we ever went there.

Well, good idea, but there was no banana tree in the catalog.

And they look like palm trees anyway, except for, you know… the bananas.

So I was going to put a palm tree and a banana on the plates but it looked a little busy.

Then I showed the pictures to the Monkey… turns out he’d thought there’d be an actual blue banana on every plate.

He’s never seen a blue banana, and he wanted to try one.

Now that he knows I meant a blue picture of a banana, he’s OK with the palm tree.

Dazz…. thanks, but I’m not actually ordering platters from Cafe Press…We’re getting cartoon platters….

Oh… was it you who asked about the broccoli slaw? I couldn’t remember where I’d posted that…

Actually if I’m only using a half bunch or so of broccoli, after trimming it well, I hold it in upright my hands and slice just the tiny buds off their stems, very thinly, using a small knife, so they crumble into the bowl.

Then I use my sturdy vegetable peeler to sliver across the stems, small and large, into tiny slices, working whatever direction is handy.

It sounds tedious but it only takes a minute.

For making a larger amount or for mixing with cabbage, I do grate it all on a box grater.

When you buy pre-grated broccoli slaw it’s all tough bottom stems…. mine tastes a lot fresher and better.

Well… here it is again…. everybody away or gone to bed…except the ones who aren’t here yet….

Arthur is sitting at the end of the bar, sulking…Apparently BatPug warned him… try that again and Digger goes to a new home…

But Veronique told BatPug not to worry….“If he does it again, Digger and I are BOTH moving out!”

No matter how much Arthur broods at the Tiki, he really doesn’t want to lose them.

Maybe next time, he realises now, he should just let Digger off with a warning.

Anyway….I cleaned the big grinder, checked on banana supplies…..

This one isn’t funny. There have been numerous cases of dogs found with their mouths duct taped. The dogs have suffered horribly, and some have died as a result of the abuse. Usually I love Ballard Street, but not this one,

Really? I did not know any of us still used dial up. I have really bad memories of that. I will put in a wireless hub and my cable guy may help me (if I can’t do it alone), but I can do almost anything alone ;-D
