Thank you for the lovely card yesterday,Actually I thought I was all better today…..but of course I did too much… and now I’m dozy (is that a word?) and achy all over again…But tomorrow is a new day!I’m sure I’ll be fine again.
I keep missing you!I’ll ty to do better.
Thanks Dazz, for your get-well wishes too…But, um…. I can’t have caught what Stel had…. cos she was recovering from surgery.
Haven’t seen Red for awhile…where are you, Red?Did you catch it too?I hope not!You weren’t at the Tiki last night….Got a Scotch here with your name on it…and a song on the jukebox ….
Yeah, yeah, wrong Carolina, I believe, but I don’t think he actually says so…LOL…and I’ve always liked it….
@Susan – Uuuh RIGHT! I knew she had the galbladder surgery. Afraid that herbal tea at night makes me drowsier than drinking my gin, so I was not thinking so clearly (and it IS just a single “Celestial Seasons” and single stevia packet in 3 cups of water – for a pot).
And an ice cold glass of Stoli to rinse it down Dish and knife are MOP and spoon is of horn with a silver tip. I also chose a glass that color co-ordinates (nicer that way).
All alone in the silence of an empty street. Hey, what’s that in the sky…is it a bat? Is it a UFO? No, it’s crashed into the window of that pink house!
Pcolli….Oh no…..Do you think we should call Ballard Orthopedics and Dry Cleaners or a real ambulance/tow truck from Ballard County Hospital and Auto Repair?
In any case, the Naffsky’s are NOT going to be happy about Perry staining their new rose-colored drapes.
Oh… and IMudd… (I just can’t call anybody “Icky!”) —Good morning to you, too.No operations here…. just a case of the creeping ….something or other…. which seems to be going away.
It’s a lovely day for a spin in my beautiful dog car…. if Stel and Bev would just get here…. (drums fingers on the table….)
I just peeked into the door as I finished my supper (and the many supplements I take after that meal). I was looking though more old photos and will scan a few. I have one of my lover in swim trunks back when I first met him and another with my X at the beach on our trip to Cuba in August of 1959 (we were married in April and conceived 1st son in May). I can see even from these photos why I find my current man much more attractive than X ever was. (He was too tall and skinny). I have to scan and post to Flicker before showing.
At first I thought by the “pink house” that it could be mine, but he didn’t crash here. And if he crashed into street side I could just close off the spare room that it is (both upstairs guest rooms face S) and I currently keep doors open so they get benefit of the sunshine. I never open those windows for ventilation as I have a great security screen on front door. It is open now (76 outside).
It’s a glorious sunny day in Ballard County…. whatever the temperature.
Give Elvis a pat….in fact, reach in the window and get one of those bone shaped biscuits…. if you give him one of those before you get in he’ll love you for it!
OK I pasted together photos from 1977 and 1959 and I see clearly even tho’ my man was 38 at that time and my X was 29 when we were married and took that trip:My X was too tall (5-11) and way too skinny (I was already expecting our 1st son, as our trip was 4 months after wedding) but I hardly showed. My man still has the same strong muscular arms and legs as he did in the 70s and I find him irresistable; never felt that for my X; that stuff was just my “duty”.
All those things sound good, but that’s what I have the herb tea in the evening for (instead of my yummy Green & Blacks Expresso chocolate and gin on the rocks). My meals are doing fine and hope to keep the BP down under 160 even without the meds (and will continue until it’s under 140/70). In any case I AM committed to stay on this diet until next Valentine’s, but I’d like it if I can add the fruits and fish back in. I do NOT intend to cut gluten unless he can prove I need to, and really would rather have some yogurt at least (if not all cheeses). I can flavor mushrooms to taste like pepperoni.
In 2010, the Monkey helped a small group of Turdmunkestani monks…. er.. monkeys….well. monkey monks …. but that sounds strange….immigrate and establish a little colony in the fertile hills of northwestern Ballard County…
They use it as a retreat, and as an outreach center for North America….
And to recreate the cheeses of their homeland to sell here, and raise money for their monastery in Turdmunkestan.
They only have 4 dairy yaks right now…. though hopefully the herd will grow….so the cheese is rather rare and special.
Well, ladies… it’s been a great afternoon…. we sure covered a lot of miles.
Elvis needs his dinner and some play-time….and I need a little nap at the salon before heading back to the Tiki to run the grinder and help Fenton tonight….
I think we all had a good time, if I say so myself!
See you later, Bev…. might not be till the turn…
And I guess you’ll probably go to bed before that, Stel… so if you do… see you tomorrow!
Alone on the street again. Now it’s daylight on this side and there lies a man on the pavement; battered and bruised. The window of the pink house is now mended and it won’t be long before someone comes to claim the still smoking wreck of humanity..Why does he do these things? He is a fool unto himself. Ah, a lady has come to look at him, is she going to bundle him into her wheel barrow? No, she is going through his pockets. It’s his wife, I think..Now a man has arrived with a shopping trolley (or cart, as I believe it’s called hereabouts). The sad tangle of limbs in now wheeled away to I know not where..There comes a man from the dark side of the street – in his hand is a tall glass of liquid. He offers me the glass and says, “For Shiva’s sake shut up and come and join the post glazing party.”.I feel inclined to accept..The end.

Well… I’ve been around the comics a little and I’ve dozed off here in the Tiki…and now it’s late….
Sid left cos the bar slowed down….Fenton’s doing all right….
I’ve gotta get home to bed…. I need to get up again in time to bake banana bread and pack sandwiches for my drive with Bev and Stel.
If I don’t go now, Stel might come in and start dropping some hats just to see whether I fall asleep.
G’night, all….
