Corned beef and cabbage isn’t an Irish dish, so don’t expect it if you visit Ireland. Jiggs, of Bringing Up Father was Irish, and it was his favorite dish, so people in the USA simply assumed it was a typical Irish dish.

Well I’m Italian and Catholic, and I made pretty much what Arlo and Janis did, but I didn’t see the Red Beet Horseradish pictured amongst the food! :-) You can’t have Corned Beef and Cabbage without RED BEET HORSERADISH! NO SIR!

Trivia:Tthe colour associated with St Patrick is blue, not green. As for the strip, darned if I get the joke – must be some other American thing.
