I've seen things you people wouldn't believe.Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of orion. Ive watched "two and a Half men" episodes without the laugh track. I know what they really put in those chocolate fountains and Ive watched in horror as Jim J Bullock starred as Patton in a dinner theater in Sarasota. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. -- "thats Probably best"

"I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. [laughs] Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.
I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like [coughs] tears in rain. Time to die."

Confession: I’ve never seen Blade Runner (I know, I know… I promised you guys I’d do better, but it takes time. ) But parodying this soliloquy is sort of an internet meme…

Susan, unless you hate science fiction you should see Blade Runner. It took some effort not to make that sound like an assignment.

A brilliant movie, even if I weren’t a science fiction fan from childhood.
I see an irony that not “Blade Runner”, not this scene, and not the many unforgettable images, characters, and performances (esp. my lovelies Joanna Cassidy, Sean Young, and Daryl Hannah) will EVER be “lost in time, like tears in rain”.

All I know is if they didn’t have laugh tracks in ‘Two and a Half Men’, I definitely wouldn’t know what to laugh at.

Have read Philip K. Dick and loved it. Saw Blade Runner and loved it. It is worth it to check in to both.Still, I missed it at first, Thank you Susan Sunshine. My first thought was – Is that a grown up Jonny Quest? LOL!

Too good! Still, has to be one of the best scenes of cinematography and writing!

FYI Rutger Hauer improvised that “Like Tears in the Rain” line.

A great scene from “Avatar: The Last Airbender” (the show, not the movie) paid homage to this scene.
