When Opal gets the chance, the cowboy hatwill be history.

Most men look pretty good in jeans and a cowboy hat. It is flattering.

I never did learn to speak hypothetical.

I like a tall drink of water in a cowboy hat, jeans and a vest.

Earl since when did you work outside.

Didn’t we see Earl with a sun burnt head last summer?

Seems like Earl must be very efficient when it comes to the yard and garden — he gets all that done in just 2 or 3 strips per season!

And also to not be able to see Opal in a new outfit which is too small for her.

Well, the glare from the TV can sometimes be pesky. ;-)

Opal’s attitude is downright insulting in some parts of the country. “This day and age” indeed.

The “hypothetical” part being Earl working outside in the heat…

I see men wearing cowboy hats a lot around my city. And it is a city, not a small country town. Oh, its agricultural, but it also has culture. Cowboy hats are practical.

There still are real cowboys in this day and age. Otherwise there would be a shortage of steak at the supermarket. There are also the “All hat, and no cattle” type of men.

He forgot to mention it keeps the sun off a red neck too.

mabrndt: I have a hat hair problem and a ‘do similar to Earl’s.

I like that style hat. A little lighter in color, that all, just a little lighter.
