Digger has figured out by repeated experiment that a dog continues in its state of motion until brought to rest by landing face first in a slurry pit.

Oh my goodness, what a day….

So sorry I dropped off early last night…. I really wanted to be at the Tiki but I just couldn’t make it….

And today I’ve been hurrying all over town delivering pies…

I made a lot of them for the Tiki, too….so of course, with the Monkey’s permission, we’ll be running the ever-popular Yak ‘n’ Dak ‘n’ Pie special tonight….with free pie from me!

He has a great touch for scalp massage, so he gets good tips.

His thumbs are a bit clumsy for haircutting though… and of course, I prefer to those myself.

I don’t think Wanda is going to be able to carry on a conversation at all pretty soon….she stayed for the free “mudslides” and she’s already on her fourth one! She hasn’t moved a muscle in the last hour and a half! Amazing!

(BTW, any idea who the girl on Wanda’s left is? She looks familiar, but I don’t have a clue. I think she might live near your salon….?)

I don’t really think the Monkey would charge you for a banana Bev…..

Sometimes he has a sudden attack of …. I dunno….over-banana-possessiveness.He gets scared there won’t be enough bananas for his lunch.

Then I just take him to the the Jingle Brothers’ Flying Carpet and Fruit Emporium and show him the piles….he calms right down.

Ah… weird Al…so…. tuneful…. LOL

Oh Bev… I know what you mean…and I would never do anything to hurt the Monkey’s business.

But the Tiki does quite well… look how full it is most of the time.

Sometimes I’m the only human at 2 in the morning, but there are always neighborhood toons, cos they don’t need as much sleep as we do….and usually the cats drink late at night….and the night owls….I mean the owl ones, of course….

I think more people come here cos the Sheriff is so generous and kind….though of course, it’s a balance.When he’s had a few I have to remind him to collect at least some money from customers.

I….um…. can’t comment on that, Bev….…er…um… _client privacy and all… …. yeah, that….

but you know….

He did once fall asleep at Jingle Brothers…on top of a huge stack of bananas like that….

But he was tired after a stressful day of sheriffing…..

Enjoy your Winking Owl ! Sorry I can’t be a night owl tonight. I have extremely early stuff to do tomorrow morning. Unfortunately, I’m working all weekend. Fortunately, not on shipboard…. As I write this, I just got a text that Carnival has got another ship down ! The Triumph a couple of weeks ago, the Dream yesterday, and tonight the Legend. I am sooo glad this was not my week for ships ! The Legend is out of Tampa and cutting its cruise short due to engine problems.Ironically, I have been on all three ships fairly recently.Anyway, probably won’t get back to the Tiki until tomorrow night, so it’s up to you to uphold the decorum…. er… hold up the bar, anyway !

What began as a good natured but highly spirited rivalry between Digger and Rusty Boy soon spiraled out of control, as these things sometimes do, and morphed into a hell bent for leather, all out, full blown adrenaline junkie Johnson. Roller Derby wasn’t fast enough. Demolition Derby wasn’t tough enough. Cliff diving wasn’t scary enough. Sky diving was too expensive. Dueling was against the law. So Digger, left to his own devices, soon stumbled into what the neighborhood now knows as barricade busting. He lost his goggles and whistle on he first run, so what, he got them out of Rusty Boys garage anyway.

I do so want to meet Digger. I assume his name was not a matter of chance.
