Great comic and info today. Was it the King who started the 1940’s ‘Konga’ dance craze? That’s a joke son, as Kenny Delmar used to intone.
By the way this movie set a record for theater longevity. One movie house in some African city played it every week for 33 consecutive years.
Always remember the great closing line when Robert Armstrong responding to the police officer who tells him that the airplanes killed Kong, Armstrong replies, “No it wasn’t the airplanes that got him. It was beauty killed the beast.”

King Kong, the original, is one of my favorite movies of all time. Had a great time with this one.
