I unflagged your comments when you said sorry. But keep in mind that just posting “first comment” isn’t doing anything but taking up space for real comments. Night-Gaunt was right that is a doofus thing to do, and it irritates a lot of people. If you stick to just posting real comments about the comic or to other people in conversation, then you won’t have people ticked off at you!
No problem. I had to explain to my mom that her commenting on facebook with all capital letters was the same as shouting everything and that it irritates people. She had no idea!:D
Using all capitals has its place. They are an easier shape for people to understand in pressure situations like speech reading or trying to get a message out in a bunch of posts that are scrolling. And, we must remember that we do not need to comment on every strip. Not all need a comment.
I think Night Gaunt means that all of us should relate, or comment, about the strip. Also, even though you flooded some of the comments here, I did not flag, and am ok with it. Since you were talking about the strip, I would be ok with it. I will warn you that some people will get ticked if people flood and talk different things.
Poor Marty. A relief pitcher comes in. YER OUT OF HERE!!!!!!
Remember when your mom said: Stop crossing your eyes (as a joke), or one day they’ll remain stuck that way for the rest of your life? If Nate keeps that face on long enough, it may get permanently stuck like that! Chuckle! CHUCKLE!!
If it’s this difficult for people to make comments without criticizing or insulting one another, then I’d be happy to ask gocomics to eliminate the comments section from the Big Nate page. Is that what people want?
I have noticed that the big nate series contradicts some of the comic story lines. Like mrs godfrey moving.
a. she moved across the street, not two blocks away.b.teddy already knew, he just showed natec. teddy brought him there, they weren’t just walking to the parkd. mrs. godfrey was smiling in the strip, like she thought nate was concernede. there was no mention of her infamous “onion breath”
im pretty sure the book version happened in big nate goes for broke, but i misplaced my copy, so i can not double check. can anyone check for me?

Marty is a bumbling baseball coach. I was so close to alliteration. Ah, well.

Taking time out to wish someone a happy birthday on his special day is acceptable.

I have to say, Nate really should appreciate that his dad is doing this for him. Nevertheless, this is still a funny strip!

Actually, as an older dude, I feel bad for dad. Nate doesn’t cut him much slack.
