I might try that pizza. Califlower is on sale this week. I’m waiting for new printer to arrive to print coupons (other went bust last week but I’m still using the scanner). The fruit salad, however, including the “juice” of canned peaches and pineapple (syrup), no thanks! I actually liked all fresh fruit for my breakfast with plain Voskos yogurt, but right now my dr has me with no fruit at all (I may cheat to the extent of an apple or a bit of tomato – not very sweet) but no yogurt or milk either and I’ll have to try the vegetarian cheese (on sale at my store) and I know I can season mushrooms to taste like pepperoni (I did earlier because of the nitrates). There is only one place w/organic pepperoni and $ to ship from CA to AZ! Anyway, I’m meatless this year.
I had one summer bday party where painting on a long strip of paper was just one of many crafts the kids did. I had big jars of poster paints and the paper was hung on our fence. I had also made links of red “leatherette” for them to make belts and resin to pour into molds for pendants. There were much more but it’s been a long time. I was a long time in cub scouts before that (with my 3 boys).
Forgot to mention that frozen peaches can be had anytime (with no syrup or other sweetener) and fresh pineapple is also around all the time (most fruits other than peach/apricot/nectarine are). I don’t buy things canned; they get a nasty metallic flavor. And many things (like artichoke hearts) are overly salted. I don’t even buy canned beans- prefer to cook from scratch, knowing just how they were cooked and seasoned.
Make sure you use the instant (NO COOK) pudding mix (as specified). It has a variety of modified food starch that absorbs water and thickens at room or refrigerator temperatures. Using a pudding mix that requires cooking will leave you with an icky mess.
You have enough fruit that the flavor of the pudding will blend pleasantly.
You probably don’t need to treat the bananas to prevent browning. The pudding will coat the slices and should keep oxygen away from them.
