Appears that Sunday will be a big day.

Severe thunderstorms here, so I am up and among the early commenters. Good morning everyone. The silhouette of Lizz looks kinda like the one that you see on the back of pickup trucks and on mudflaps. LOL Love the expression on DT’s face.

If Tracy’s on the bus that Jumbler is going to take…… does he have a ticket to ride (Beatles)?

Heheheh. Tracy sits on the bus, does a Jumble puzzle, and awaits the Jumbler. But will he be able to take him down without backup on the scene? Jumbler is wily, and armed with his tear-gas cane and Crypto….Jumbler had certainly set up this caper long in advance to be able to dig a tunnel to where the “safe” was supposedly hidden. He has had great intel all along. Does he have an accomplice high-up? Hmm.

Wonder if Jumbler had a fail-safe for the bus…. if he could have anticipated someone doing what Tracy’s doing?…..

Lovin’ that Lizz silhouette. And it could be that Tracy out-guessed the Jumbler, using his mania for puzzles to help trap him.

i believe i called this.. tracy waiting on the bus for jumbler.. about three days ago.

The Jumbler’s knowledge of buildings reminds me of Fu Manchu, who in the books was a master of architectural history. His headquarters, always existing buildings, would always just happen to have already built-in trapdoors, secret passages or deathtraps And the heroes, unlike Dick Tracy, never seemed to catch on.

I’m puzzled again…is Lizz in the actual safe? It’s huge! In the panel where the jeweler found out the money was missing he had his arm not even all the way in the hole and even with it all the way in he wouldn’t have been able to reach the floor of the safe, where Lizz is lying. Is something going on with perspective and proportions here or is it just that I’m not seeing it correctly?

Cool, he didn’t have to tunnel under the building. It is a crawl space, you can see the safe mounting brackets if you look for them.

Two days without Sam smoking up a storm?

Does the light beam turn from yellow to purple when is passes through the hole? (And unlike the mud-flap girl, she is clothed, at least boots and a skirt)

Jumbler tunneled under the floor safe, ALL BY HIMSELF? Sorry but he really doesn’t come across as the type of dude who does hard labor! Just wondering out loud; S.I.T.O.A.N.M.I.

Gotta agree, the panel with Lizz is great. Beautiful work by Staton.

I agree, the second panel is really nice. This is the second time this week the portrayal of Lizz has received a lot of favorable comments, despite being in silhouette and not having a speaking role. Goes to show you how Staton’s beautiful graphics have the ability to grab our attention and transcend the story.

Tsull, congrats! You called this one like you have ESP! Either you have an inside to the strip (like another frequent poster used to claim), or you were reading the tea leaves right. Either way, congrats!

Floor safes are usually set into a large block of concrete. Accessing them from under the building isn’t easy!
