Laura: So you're doing it, huh? Adam: Yep. I'm growing a mustache. Laura: Have you thought this though? Adam: How so? Laura: Well, is this going to be a serious mustache or an ironic mustache? Adam: What was magnum P.I.'s? Laura: Majestic. I think you're aiming too high.

I vote for the Selleck ’stache (and not just because I had a terrible crush on him when I was in high school!)
(And Bruno- not true. A common fallacy that gets walkabout time for a variety of reasons, but the facts are that he he was born to married parents, in wedlock, had siblings and grew up in as ordinary a family as you would find in Germany at the end of the 19th c. His mother was overindulgent with him, his father very strict. His later choices were just that- his choices, and can’t be blamed on someone else.)

I used to know someone whose moustache started ON (not IN) his nose. I was very envious.

I prefer a thin mustache or clean shaven. Thankfully my man agrees.

I have NEVER shaved my moustache. I keep it trimmed, and I can’t imagine what I would look like without it. I have removed the beard a couple of times; once was so I could get the proper benefit from a respirator while working with concrete. I keep the beard neat and short. Usually.

I tried for a John Waters once. Just couldn’t get it thin enough.

I’d take Tom Selleck with or without!

I don’t know if Adam will be able to grow a ’stache. How can ANYTHING grow in the shade of that nose?

The biggest problem I have had with a moustache in the past was keeping it trimmed. My first wife, bless her, insisted that I have a moustache and would trim it for me. Any time I would try to trim my own moustache was a reason to remove it. I could never trim it evenly on my own.

If you start growing a moutache Adam then Laura should start wearing lipgloss.

I liked my hubby clean shaven. When he talked about facial hair, I would tell him it scratches. My two uncles both had mustaches so I knew how they felt.

Yes Adam, you are aiming too high. Tom Selleck you ain’t!

Adam and Beardo might have something in common, then.
