Oh, Charlie Brown, you (dare I say it?) blockhead!

Linus thinks he could identify grownup Charlie brown with his blanket!

Now we know Linus will be back for sure.

A day without Linus is like a meal without wine.

Aw, Lucy looks like she’s gonna cry.

Lucy & Linus will be back.

Sadly this happened to countless real kids. Torn away from formative communities and relationships; all for big fat businesses who cared for nothing but big fat profits for big fat executives.

This was one of the most touching sequences in the run of this strip.

Linus calmly giving up his blanket?! I don’t believe it.

But what will Linus do without a blanket, in the 1983 Peanuts special adapted from this 1966 Peanuts story arc “Is This Goodbye, Charlie Brown” Linus gives his blanket to Snoopy.

So sad.

I don’t remember this at all from the first time around. So happy : ) these Classics are being rerun!

Actually, it isn’t. Lucy and Linus really were moving away at the time.

Amazing how much emotion CB expresses in these 4 panels with a minimum of lines. Another thing Schulz did better than anyone else.

I love this guys, I hope they will be back soon or they never go…

Most of the kids I knew at 6 were still around and friends when I was 16..There were two friends though that dissappeared when I was 9..One of them was my best friend..I think about him from time to time and wonder what happened..

Linus is my favorite human in Peanuts and this strip one of the examples why.
