The original art (where she’s wearing a Santa suit rather than a Bunny costume) was no doubt inspired by a famous photograph of Bettie Page taken by model and glamour photographer Bunny Yeager. That photo, which showed Bettie in a Santa hat (and nothing else), decorating a Christmas tree, was used as the January 1955 centerfold in Playboy.
Great picture all the way around, but once I got to actually reading the caption, I was a little confused. When she said she “ordered Easter Bunny,” was she talking about the attire? It’s the only way it makes sense, as if that’s necessary, but squeezing in “costume” or “outfit” could have tied up some lose ends…
I am new to this strip having just encountered and looked at a few pannels. I confess that I totally fail to understand or see anything meaningfull, worthwhile, witty or funny in any of them.

To see what Allen Freeman’s original art looked like before Mike Pascale “bunnified” it, here’s the link.
