The idea “We must secure our borders” is ridiculously naive. Plus, as long as the concern is exclusively the Mexican border and not the Canadian, it looks racist even if it isn’t (though for some it is).

Around 3.5 million East Germans crossed the border between 1945 & 1961, when the East Germans sealed the border. That was about 20% of the population.

Cheaper booze. They do go back to Canada after the purchase though.
