Wow, what a crossover! That one throws just like the rat that threw kibble at Bucky Katt and disappeared. Many thought Bucky’s nemesis was Rat from PB4S.Thanks to everyone that helped us recover a bit yesterday, and a few minutes ago BOTH ENDTOWN2.0 and DOC RAT were in the TOP 30!!!If we all keep up the good work we CAN break the top twenty tomorrow. My nurse called for me to see a Dr at the hospital and bring a bag with toiletries for a while, just in case. Bummer. Maybe my liver will survive and I can keep taking narcotics for the pain from severe OsteoArthritis, my leukemia, my ankylosing spondy, and some other really serious ailments and injuries. I still have a broken Tibia, broken tarsa just below the Tibia, and two breaks with plates and pins in the right leg, but the broken lower leg is just a bother compared to some of my pains. I’m a mess, and need serious pain meds. For the next few days I may not be able to vote and promote, so please try extra hard.Thanks,.JusSayin

Algood had better shut his mouth, for he’ll only draw more fire, figuratively and literally. Instead of giving away where he is by shouting, he should hustle his arse out of there as quickly and quietly as he can, while he can.
Wait, physical violence is the LAST RESORT? I’m sorry, I’m pretty sure when the rats started kicking down the door, shooting locks out, and tossing couches through windows, it was the FIRST resort.
Oh this is just a opening statement in this war. They are just pebbles. They could have been bricks or worse.Oh they may smart a little. But maybe they just may make Allgood a little smarter.
I can’t help, but suspect that this whole carnaval of moral outrage, has somehow been orchestrated by Jackrabbit and the councils loyalties may not lie where Allgood thinks.
The man has a point, but only a little sympathy this time. I still wonder if he’s aware that the High Council is planning to put the Endtown 3, and any other “sinners” it gets its hands on, to death.
“I still wonder if he’s aware that the High Council is planning to put the Endtown 3, and any other “sinners” it gets its hands on, to death.”How would he? Velda’s between him and the HC, and she’s saying that everything being printed in the paper, including Al’s and Walt’s quotes of what the HC said, are lies. He’s got no reason to not trust Velda.
I believe the quote was “violence is the last resort of the incompetent” from Isaac Asimov’s Foundation TrilogyThis has been proven true repeatedly by politicians for my entire 6+ decades on the planet. And the VA wonders why I get depressed.
Allgood better get off the street. The next one could be a bullet.Wanna take guesses at who would shoot him?Disgruntled Endtowners, angry members of the Society,Velda?
I’ve gotta say…I first read the first three Foundation books when I was, like, eleven or twelve…but I reread them a couple of years ago and found them, on the whole, somewhat lesser books than I remember—-mostly ‘cause I’ve read a lot more real history, I think. (Politics may play a role in my diminished opinion, but that’s neither here nor there, and we’ve had enough of that sort of discussion, haven’t we?) Asimov’s 1950s novels, at least the ones I’ve reread, seem better…and I’ve read his memoirs cover-to-cover at least forty times since they came out…and, besides, for a period in the early 1980s his magazine published nearly every letter I wrote them. I’m still a big fan, tempered by time and experience of my own. (I’ll recommend “The Caves of Steel,” though it’s not one of the ones I’ve reread.)
It’s so wonderful that all of Mr Neathery’s sound effects are in French.I apologise for not having a big presence on this forum, lately. I’ve been quite busy. But I am still following the Endtown story, more avidly than ever. May I just say it is brilliant.
hope you get better in every part, just sayin’. Is your main illness a liver disease? THe other quote this reminded me of is “patriotism is the last refuse to which a scoundrel clings” I heard from Bob DYlan but I think hew got it from some place else, like maybe Woody Guthrie or Will Rogers.

Allgood: “Ok, I’m done being ‘Mr. Niceguy’! Time to get dirty. I challenge you cowards to a round of pugilistics!”

I had the name wrong. It is Foundations Edge not End. It has been awhile.
