MANY years ago I was at San Diego ComicCon during one of Mad’s anniversaries. I attended a panel with Sergio and one of writers. They decided to do a ‘guess the sketch’ contest using an overhead projector. One of them was a circle, he started drawing something else, and someone blurted out “a dime a dozen” and he looked up kind of disgusted and threw away the sheet of acetate. Then he started a complex drawing, paused, and started laughing. He’s forgotten to put down another sheet of acetate and was drawing directly on the glass with a permanent marker.
Personally, I would have gone to Home Depot, bought a piece of window glass, removed the glass from the projector, then broken the window glass and given the convention $100.
