Caulfield: If Condors can fly all day without moving a muscle and they only eat meat, why aren't their arteries trashed? Frazz: This is why I like science: so many questions! Mrs. Olsen: This is why I prefer math: actual answers.
See…not a problem. Teacher starts assigning each questioner their question as a homework/research assignment. OR…they go to the school’s computer lab…if they have one…and do some research there. That is how we learn, after all.
Carrion has a certain amount of pre-digestion (from bacteria) to make it through in that time. Also immunity to some of the bacteria that tear our insides out helps too.
A lot of teachers on this site have said that, but somehow I think the novelty would pale fairly quickly (although Mr. Burke often seems to best Caulfield at his own game). As a character in a comic, I think he’s the student a lot of us wish could have been.

The implied comparison is to people, which are mammals (not avian dinosaurs), and omnivores (not obligate carnivore/scavengers).

The meat they eat is better than the fast food meat some of us eat.

For all we know, maybe their arteries are trashed, and that’s why they’re near extinction. (I know, there are other reasons.)

In that kind of meat, most of the transfats have leached into the gorund.
