She enjoys provoking people, is happy to think her little negativity bomb will evoke a disturbance…and almost never comes back to read anything directed at her.
I do think he started very young… but of course, I thought of him as old, because my mother liked him…LOL…I think he was quite young even then, actually.
Torme VS Blanc! LOL actually made me laugh out loud which I seldom do (especially before breakfast).
Dell provided me with a brand new empty hard drive after being off line this week, but my Norton Backup and Restore did not catch everything I wanted, so I’m still trying to put myself together. I’ll check last night. My dad played trombone and piano and led some bands around then; if it were not for the merger of 20th with Fox, my parents might have been out there in the Hollywood crowd. Retrospectively, I’m glad they did not; growing up in the ’burbs was plenty for me.
I read the end of yesterday and saw no kerfuffle (not even the troll) so far as I saw in my perusal. As to age, I think we are ALL young as we enjoy good humor and I hope to enjoy another 20 years with my lover (even tho’ I’m not as inclined to travel while in this regime). Last Monday, my doctor said he’d prefer I drop the egg whites too, so my breakfast will be some quinoa fusilli with my red sauce, a tablespoon of TVP sausage crumbles and steamed spinach on the side, soy milk to drink. Not bad, but I’d not subject others to my diet (unless they need it). Still love my almond crackers, but it’s all the spices and whole anise and caraway seeds that make them special.
Yeah. T-storms mess with my internet a lot, but they have to be really bad to mess with my television signal. Go figure. They’re both received from satellites – albeit from different dishes.
The only place I’m going is to bed after these tunes. (Love ZZ) I figure I’ll turn out the lights before the weather has a chance to do so. Good night, bev.
Trying to catch up on my comics and emails, but I got a heads up from my Fellow Baby about the great tunes Bev was posting over here. Great choices, Bev!
And you mentioned “rain on a metal roof”. I have a “Family Circus” from 10/12/91 that has been on my refrigerator for MANY years. Dolly is in bed, and you can see the rain from her bedroom window, she says to herself, “Ah! Rain on the roof, my favorite night music”. Me too! :-)

Meanwhile….I’m thinking maybe Nathan just made that guy very happy…
Gave him a convenient target, a non-threatening outlet for his repressed aggression….
Now he’s at peace…Nathan should write that down.

Now I’m nursing a banana daiquiri, in spite of the return of the fog.

I’ll tell you how unpredictable the weather is here….
I just checked Google Weather and an AccuWeather app on my phone.
My phone says Saturday will be 68º …. and Google says 90!
Wish they’d duke it out and come up with a winner….cos a 22 degree spread is no help at all!

If anybody in this crowd has ever heard of the Velvet Fog…
my mother’s favorite singer.

Wow, Red…. that’s cool…not his throat problems, of course…but the connection.
And hard to think of Mel Torme singing as a kid.

Harry on Night Court?
SusanSunshine Premium Member over 11 years ago
Well… I used to watch a lot of sitcoms when I did some work at home….but it was always erratic, depending on where I had to be, and when
Then as time went on, they seemed to get less funny, less creative… except Seinfeld and a few others.
But in 2008 we went digital … and I’m on an old antenna….
So even with a converter box I only get one small local PBS station…. no networks…
I hardly watch TV so I don’t want to pay for cable.
One of these days I’ll get a newer antenna.Only been saying that since 2008.
