Years ago, famed humorist Erma Bombeck wrote a book titled something like “How to get the chenille marks off your face when the doorbell rings”. Poor Agnes looks like she slept on a rockpile instead of just on a chenille bedspread.

Actually, Agnes’ nose is higher and perkier than usual, owing to the compression from the weight of her massive brain.

I’d recommend that she sleep on her face more often, if it weren’t for the ensuing accordion folds in her flesh…

And the fact that the resultant breakdown in her nose cartilage might be a factor in Trout’s prediction eventually coming true.

Trollbridge…not that it matters here, but just to give credit where due……that was Phyllis Diller…not a book title, but a chapter in her book of Housekeeping Hints…from which I learned way too much.

Even Erma Bombeck took housework more seriously than did Phyllis Diller…or …. sigh… me.

“vintage human”-Agnes uses nice phrases. They go well with high, tight perky noses.

Hope Agnes didn’t forget her hair curler when she went to sleep.

Cuddleman — best dialogue writer in the comics…or at least in the 45 or 50 strips I read.
